only if it is a known competitor, which i dont think any of the shops that sell fujimi models also sell mini-Z's so it shouldnt be a problem

for one, were talking about model kits, since your trying to be cute about it if the name does get edited, simply spit the name or whatever. this discussion doesn't have anything to do with mini-z's and the shop here doesn't carry model kits.

S2000 Mini z Convertable
I had a miniz S2000 and the resistor went on it and I went and bought to more cars both the focus rally and the 575 ferrari. The honda S2000 is not my parts car and experimenting car. I got bored and desided that it needed to be a convertable. It is not done yet but here is the pics anyhow. hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. If there are any other models besides what is listed pls let me know..
Thanks
Fluffy

I've been looking at an '82 camaro on the 'bay, and although the chassis should only need minor stretching, the guy selling it reckons its only 55mm wide. I'm assuming thats at the thinnest point, but i thought i'd check if anyones had any experiences with similar bodies.
Here's a piccy too - not the prettiest thing on earth, but i kinda like it...

I did a 95' Camaro snapfast kit on an MR02 MM set to the 3L setting, the MM pod set in the middle setting with my own fabbed up shock extension at the time, you can use the MZ153 parts set for that extension part now. For the MR02 it is plenty wide enough to clear the wheels, in fact you can also use bigger wheels on it. I have a thread on it somewhere here in Custom Bodies on it. The '82 Camaro I have not seen one in a long time.
Here is that thread.

My best guess from everyone's response so far, is there aren't any.

This thread was started (I think) just before the MR02 was released. The MR02 offers more possabilities for other models to fit. It is just that most kits that line up wheelbase wise, allow the wheels to stick out. Like the 60's beetle and 240Z kits from Revell, those are both discontinued now anyway. The AMT Snapfast kits you will find at the link I posted above can fit with very little work on the chassis and no major cutting, most of the cutting is the tabs and posts inside the body to clear the chassis.

Aaahhhh. The feel of the air blowing through my hair....... That looks good so far. That's how the S2000 is supposed to look like. Are going to do an interior of some sort? Can't imagine there would be much room.

I've got a new one for ya, I think. Mongram (Revell) just re-released a model kit originally meant to be an option for 1/24 slot cars but it builds up into a curbside model kit as well. The kit is #85-2850 and is titled "Jim Hall's Chaparral 2D Coupe, Daytona 1966." After doing a quick comparison it appears this body is a perfect fit for an MR02 with the Mustang wheelbase and offset. The wheel wells are rather large on the body so it kinda swallows mini-Z wheels but I think it would look cool anyways. I just wish I had the time to work on it now!
