Handling setup
Has anyone tried different suspension settings? I'm thinking about getting some different camber knuckle sets and maybe the tie rod set. I want to try to get the car to drift a little less, and just be a little tighter.
I just put the suspension limiters under the front knuckles to lower the front a little, and it plants the front well, but it still could be improved.

Sounds alot like what I did with mine. I'd say get the tie rod set first, you can work on camber later. I set mine up for drifting with the "C" bar in the back, it helps with stability. I changed it to the "A" bar for my grip tires, to reduce the binding. That's just the back, your stock rear bar is the "B" bar.
A= 0 deg
B= .5 deg
C= 1.5 deg
Right now I am playing with the front toe settings.

Arch
Arch, you said at your last gtg a couple of your guys had the awd chassis and ran very well. Do you have any of there set-ups? Uncluding tires and what body they ran on it. Im hoping with some experimenting that a narrow body with narrow tires will run good. like the vauxhall body.

I have tried most of the suspension setups with the drift tires. I use front toe out and rear toe in (C), Front/Rear red springs with suspension limiters, use for lowering.
The camber kits didn't help out with the plastic drift tires. It decreased the tire contact area on the surface. Maybe, if you wear down the drift tires in whichever camber angle you choose, then you should start seeing better results. The camber does work alittle better when you use shrink wrap on soft, flat tires, especially using front and rear 4.5 deg camber. Looks cool too!!

On my laminate floor, the drift tires made a bunch of noise straight out of the package. Worked good though. I then filed off the center ridge, mostly so it will not mark my floor. Now this thing is all over the place, quiet though. I may have to work some grooves into them with a 100 grit paper for a bit better control. My guess is the camber kits allow you to drift with the rubber tires, I think that it makes the cars look ricey anyway. Some would be all over it I'm sure.
For kicks I tried the drift tires on some old racer wheels, I used BMW Z8 wheels. I don't think I could got them on without breaking something. The AWD wheels (R34 six spoke) are just a tiny bit smaller around than those old wheels, the drift tires are a nice fit on them though.

Well, gearing makes a huge difference... I just tried the 5.71:1 gearing (19t pinion, and a 31t spur) and compared to the stock gearing, it had A LOT more mid-range punch. It was hard to drive coming from the stock gearing. It wanted to drift more then I wanted it to.

So far I'm running completely stock suspension setup and an Iwaver Plus motor. I'm getting a set of camber knuckles to try get a little more aggresive turn-in without changing tires, I like how they handle, just a little bit of oversteer on turn-in, perfect for the hairpins. I'm going to change my body to a Vauxhaul BTCC body too, for a more racey car.
Here's the track that I run on along with machine, Fish and some other members. It's super tight, but there will be a layout change soon for a much faster track.

I ran mine with the FD body, to gat a chance to see how the M 90mm setting handled. I went back to the "B" rear bar for the run. Well first I had the "A" bar on and that thing spun at every turn, the "B" bar helped some. But the rear still likes to come around quickly. I am amazed at how much 4mm in the wheelbase makes far as handling goes. I still need to try the drift tires, this may be a good drift setup with the "C" bar on the rear.

Got the chance to test today. I wanted to see if i could get the vauxhall to handle good. Since its a narrow body, rims and tires. So far its going pretty good. Stock motor, normal off-set front rims, slightly wider rear off-set, 25 degree slicks in front, 40 degree mt in rear, rear lowered(2 pn shims), front lowered(3 pn shims), green springs-front, stock springs-rear, toe in and camber stock right now. runs surprisingly well for a narrow body. Also have pn delrin out drives in.
