*** New Product *** Team Orion AAA Mini-z Batteries

Team Orion long known world wide as the leader in RC battery technology has now begun to further give its attention to one of the fastest growing segments in RC, the Micro and Mini-Z market.

With all new AA, and AAA NiMH batteries coming to market this fall Team Orion is sure enhance the performance of your Mini-Z or 1:18 vehicles. Packing a whopping 1.25Volts per cell our AA and AAAs provide voltage previously only found on high end precision electronic cells.

For the Mini-Z market we are taking it a step further and providing two levels of AAAs. First for the racer we have the 900HV (High Voltage) for outright performance. Then for the Hobbyist where often run time is key we are releasing the 1100RT (Run Time) featuring a larger capacity.

I am definitely interested but Arch hit the nail on the head. I think they are going to have to hit the <$10 for me to consider a wholesale change. In the 10-12 range I would get a few sets to test them out. Above 15 and I would wait to hear awesome reviews from the early adopters before I thought about picking some up

Anyway, cool idea. I like the two versions...

I've used Team Orion's batteries before for larger scale RC vehicles, and they seemed to be pretty high quality... Hopefully these AAA's should be no exception.. I'd like to try a set of both the high voltage and run time versions to see how they perform.. It's nice to see other companies offering more battery options for the Mini-Z..

hmmm.... quite interesting.... having known that kyosho bought into orion, i guess it was inevitable that they'd get into producing high performance aaa batts for the mini-z...

i'm even speculating that maybe an orion equivalent of atomic's stock r evolution or chili evolution motor is in the works...

Any plans for a fancy charger to go with them?

Just pondering if I should wait or snag one now...
I am going to retire all my IC3 cells... even though some are not even opened yet... just sick of them turning off during a race.
