Hello Everyone,
We now have most of the prizes on their way or in our possession and things are looking pretty good, except for .... registrants! Pre-registration closes Sept. 27.
I know that there are a number of you planning race day registration but let me clarify a few things in case you were wondering.
- If you pre-reg then you are sure to get a t-shirt and an extra raffle ticket for the premium prizes.
- I am trying to arrange free food as we did last year but without any idea of how many people will be showing up.
- I cannot (do want to) cancel the event.
So please help me out by either sending in your registration or letting me know if you are going to race and in what category.

Time is running out to get in your pre-registrations.
Why pre-register you ask?
1. You are garanteed a t-shirt
2. You get a Premium Raffle Ticket
3. You will get a free set of GRP Gandini Racing Tires (while supplies last)
4. You will help me plan better for any free food we can swing
As always vendors have come through big time. Kyosho (now my all-time favorite RC manufacturer) along with Spektrum, RCP Tracks and your own MiniZRacer are supplying some great prizes.
Driver’s Prizes (drivers get one raffle ticket upon registration)
Spektrum Radio System
Spektrum Micro Receiver
Gandini Tires (multiple for MiniZs and 1/18th)
AutoArt F1 Steering Wheel Clock
Tony Stewart Autographed NCRC Racing T-shirt
Steve Smith Autographed RAACE T-shirt
&
Various RTR Kits
Premium Prizes
(Tickets are purchased for $5 each or pre-registrants get one free)
Cal Ripken Autographed Baseball
Helios Castroneves Autographed Helmet (mini)
Danica Patrick Autographed Helmet (mini)
Tony Stewart Autographed Helmet (full size-wear while you play Wii)
AutoArt F1 Steering Wheel Clock
&
Various RTR Kits
This is the general list becuase I didn't want to list every team t-shirt, wrench set, body etc. Suffice to say our sponsors are making sure everyone walks away with something!!!!
More registrants have come in and I am updating the list within this thread.
Track layout will be worked out next week and a picture/image will be posted so you can memorize it and race it in your sleep.

Calling all DOW drivers. I completely forgot to start a thread on the DOW page and are hoping that many of you can still make it this year to our ALS Charity Race.
Please check out the details on our webpage ( www.ncrcracing.com) or post reply.
Thanks,
Russ

Hello Everyone,
It is with extreme sadness that I find myself reporting to you that our friend Rich passed away this morning. I have been told that he went very peacefully.
Our race along with ALS Walks this month (starting this Saturday in Baltimore) are even more important now. The race will be in honor and in memory of Rich.
For those of you who have already sent in your registration, thank you. If you have not yet done so, please consider particpating in our race or signing up for a walk to support an organization that helped Rich out so much over the last several years.
For those of you who are following, the Senate passed the ALS registry act a few short hours ago. It is expected to pass the house with no problems.
We also recieved our prizes from Kyosho.
Two small victories to hold on to today.

Everyone,
Just recieved the t-shirts and they look awesome, an improvement over last year's if you ask me.
We are laying out the track on Monday and will post pics shortly thereafter.
Finally, pre-registration closes this Saturday so I am hoping to see more in the mail tomorrow.

Anyone seen/spoke to Ken Butler? I would like to hope he is planning on coming along with most of his crew. I'll try to PM him but I don't know his username.

I'm sorry to hear about Rich, it will be an honor to race in his memory.
None of us have spoke to Ken since the 3 hr race, his screen name is kenontap, but he said he doesnt check the site that often. I think his email adress is kenontap@verizon.net. That might be a better way to reach him, Arch2b might know his # but I'm not sure on that.
I sent my pre-registration in this morning, I didnt know the dead line was this Saturday. It should be there in a day or two. If it reaches you Saturday will you still accept it since that is the day pre-reg ends?
I think thats everthing, if not I'll just make another post. Good luck reaching Ken, and I cant wait for this race, it will be good practice for the worlds in November.
