The rims, tires, and bodies are the only true interchangable parts, I'm pretty sure. The X-Speed motor will "fit", but it is designed for 6V, not 3V that the palm runner uses. Kyosho does make a X-Speed especially for the palm runner.
the palm electronics are just barely above 'radio shack quality', the turbos are not designed for the same type of electronics as the palm... different soldering points... you could make a turbo for a palm... or find a way to adapt one in some way shape or form.. but it would be better to just buy a "real" Mini-Z.
Haynes Manual: Lightly...
Reality: Start off lightly and build up till the veins on your forehead are throbbing then re-check the manual because this can not be 'lightly' what you are doing now.
seeing as how cheap the palm runner is, does anybody buy the palm runner just for its' body? i mean, you get a drivable toy with your body and probably a bunch of screws, .....and a funny looking controller..
I do not recommend buying a Clone, but I did one time and actually was able to use quite a bit from it. The antenna wiring for one was more durable than the stock mini-z and now have it on one of my mini-z's, screws and nuts. The nuts were actually a cool gold. The body is usable and on the outside looks just like the kyosho, perhaps a cheaper plastic though. I will probably scrap the body and use the side and front body mounts. Batt clips. Nice hard tires. I threw the rest away.
