Ezrun 18a with spektrum

I have buhlt a car with ezrun ESC, spektrum receiver and pn 7500kv Engine. so far I've driven only brushed motors. now bothers me the engine characteristics. it feels like expo on the gas. The car accelerates as fired by a rubber band. I hope you understand what I mean. is this a EZRUN problem, or is it a brushless "problem"?

Generally sensorless brushless motors can sometimes be too punchy on the low end and not have enough powerband in the middle. If you have a program card you can reduce the start punch and reduce the timing and put a taller gear to mellow the response out a bit. If that doesn't help I would look into the atomic BL esc. It is made by hobbywing specifically for the 1/28th platform and has the best throttle resolution and smoothness of all the bl esc I have tested with Mini-Z.

Thanks

Did some tests yesterday. Set "Start Mode" (Punch) at max Level. Now it is much Better. But the feeling is still a bit different to a brushed car.

Which Atomic esc do u mean?

Be sure to set your neutral, throttle, and brake end points on the esc with the throttle highpoint & brake highpoint @100 as well as the brake %100
the neutral width I prefer is the widest for the setting
For the dds I run it @ max
For the timing with pn motors I feel that 0 timing is the best balance as far as drive ability and consistency
Hope this helps
