Micro'z
Yodarc,
Mike, the problem with a Mini-Z is that the average household pet, like a cat or dog can pounce it..
They tend not to mess with 1/10's though, too quick and they hurt!
If them 1:87 models were RC, the cat would catch it and swallow it! Then I'd have a vetinary bill and a major cleanup on my hands
I am trying to get more, but like I said, extrememly hard to come by..
Justin,
I'll put the DC signed F1 up for auction on E-Bay.
Seriously though, I'll hang on to it, although I don't believe that Coulthard is world championship material.
No, I dont have a Bitchar-G.. are you making me an offer?
Mondo

Have you guys seen the pic from the Tokyo Show of the Yokomo 1/60th RC. They look like they're to scale. I'd like to hear the latest word on this...
although you guys probably don't care.

Well for instance the keyence HO-scale RC truck is awesome. That would be an office toy that all would envy.
How big is the bitcharG ? Could you adapt it's electronics into a die-cast?
Sorry, I'm slipping off topic again

Re: I can confirm it...
The Colt can be made as fast as the ABC in Russ's webpage. Just requires the right tools and right parts.
Trust me. You can't.

Message to D's Nuts
D's Nuts,
I know I can modifiy the Colt to go as fast. But at the moment, I still seem to only be wearing the motor in and the motor is starting to produce more power to the ground. I'm still trying to modify the car further if I can for more speed. Hope this works soon~!
Cheers D's Nuts~! I trust you~!

Justin,
I meant to say that it's not your creativity that will prohibit you from getting the colt to 56mph (faster than some nitro cars w/ 2 speed) , but it's the design of the car. It cannot accomodate 12 AAA batteries, unless you don't use a body. I wanna make it clear that I'm not trying to say you can't do it, but the chassis design would make it very challenging. I spent a good month and a half to perfect my set-up, and few hundred dollars. I must warn you. If you're going to modify, prepare to spend some cashish, or dollar dollar bills.
Cheers to one of the coolest dudes in the forum - Justin

Message to D's Nutz
D's Nutz,
thanks for the reply. I'm willing to spend cash (I waste cash on too much crap - ie, Mountain Bikes which average a few hundred a month and RC cars which is about the same), so I'm ready to spend some cash.
I already have more room in the back end of the Colt as you can already see, so I can accomadate for a larger (longer) motor, and also the motor can be altered slightly to an angle of about 15 degrees backwards or forwards depending on pinion and gears. I'm running a 9 tooth for the pinion on it and it still takes off fairly fast due to the Mod Motor, but I'm still trying to get more speed (like you said, it's amazing to see something that size go that fast).
I'm not sure how many turns my current Modified Motor has, but all I know is that it's faster than the Mini Z. Another thing that's for sure is that the car's ride height is low, which is going to be an advantage for high speeds, which will also lower center of gravity for high speed turns.
I think the Colt is currently running at about 50k's at the moment, which is about 31.25mph. Not that fast but I'm still wearing in the modified motor, and it's graduadually gaining more and more speed
You have already told me that you ran a C Can/Quad for the 56mph run, but what about an Apex turbo or you just used an 1/10 speed control? Also - Apex make about 8 kinds of speed controls, which do you recommend out of the forward and brake version ones? If possible, can you tell me how many turns can the turbo accomedate so I won't blow the motor?
Oh, also just read your reply for me - "message to russ". Pretty damn funny. But wow - 12 cells (1.2v or 1.5v each)? I'd love to see the NOS boosters on your car (lol)
Thanks for your help and keep trying to break your own speed records (as too fast is NEVER fast enough)...
Cheers~!

One thing I like about you Justin, you can take a joke. You're not uptight about things. I'm glad you picked-up on it. But it's true, 12 cells, C-can Quad Open. No rockets, no Nos. That was just to make you laugh.
No Apex turbo will survive the C-can open. You need a Real Speed Control for this application.

I'm selling my Colt
Hi All,
I've decided that I will part with my Colt Mini (because mum's complaining about me having two Mini cars and says I have to sell one of them, so I guess it'll be the Colt since it's newer and has less runtime on it than my Mini). For anyone interested - please email me asap. I will ship internationally only if a wire transfer or a more traditional money order would be greatly appreciated. The Colt has had approximately 25 minutes of run time of it. It'll also come with 2 covers (McLaren F1 GTR), and also the radio gear which which already on board the car and also the pistol grip remote. Note that international shipping will cost extra. Please email me and make me an offer for the car (SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE). Thanks... Mondo - here's your chance and same with D's Nutz.... The car you've both heard about so much....
Cheers~!
