avant...
thanks again for the nice review and pics... so from the underside, it looks like there are only two chassis lenghts... how long is the wheelbase? can you post pics of the lit side by side vs a mr02 or mr015? like against the short wheelbased lancia or newer porsche 934? curious as to what scale it really is... (i remember reading it somewhere, but forgot)... thanks again...

... there's no need to post pictures (I'm just on a business trip ) - just read the Kyosho website. There are 2 mounting options and different lengths of carbon suspension parts:

Total length
Approximately 100mm
Full-width
48~52mm
Total height
26mm
Gland clearance
3.5mm
Wheel base
65~78mm
Tread (F/R)
42.5~46mm
Tire (F/R)
## 18×5.5mm
Gear ratio
5.16、4.43:1
Gross load
Approximately 100g
Motor
SH030 class

Cheers,

Jo

Hey arch, I haven't exactly "tuned" my Lite, but it does have all the optional parts available from Kyosho, including the Tagu wheels. It does seem to make some improvment, the ball bearings and the Xspeed motor are the most noticable improvments as the car is faster. But it's handling, well, that's still questionable. It does handle very well on the RCP track, but the Mini Cooper has the tendency to flip on turns.

I don't think so. First, the car's were too expensive for the average Z-er, thus their populariety wasn't there. Second, nobody but Kyosho made any upgrades for these cars with the exception of Tagu making some alloy rims, if you want to call that an upgrade. And third, though not sure if it's as valid, they only gave us four bodies to choose from. The Morris Mini Cooper, The Fiat 500, the Daiehu Copen, and the Morris Mini Cooper Monte Carlo. Not that these aren't bad choices, but I think many people would have liked to see much more options for the Lite, but only if the prices on the Lite went down enough so that the average Joe could afford theme.
I've upgraded my Lite with every option Kyosho made available and had fun racing it at the local RCP track, but quickly lost interest in it. Still keeping it on the shelves as part of collection.................
