Lancia Stratos?

Hello All,
Just wanted to confirm that the Stratos will fit on a 86MM RM MR03?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jim

It is an 86mm RM body so it should. Don’t recall if it is RM or RML (no top shock).

Copy that, I was not sure if this body needed a high mount or if there was room for a RM. I have the MZW216 Dampener which seems to be pretty low profile. I could easily run a top shock on a 935 and F40.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jim

Stratos is 86mm RM, narrow front end MR03. Need to run 0mm offset front wheels. The curved front end is prone to pulling tires off and flipping the car if you hit a wall. Definitely need to run a safer line. It can also break the knuckles due to this. I used a smaller diameter front wheel with no spacers under the knuckle when I used this body to increase clearance to the slant nose of the body, and reduce chance of tires being pulled or knuckle breaking.

I ran the body in our 86-90mm box stock class, with no disc damper. It was really fast, but not forgiving at all. I never got a win with it, but set fast lap a bunch of times. I broke a few times as well, so be sure you either upgrade the knuckle, or have spares on hand.

Copy that....I just don't see it as a terribly fast body but it is such an interesting subject and the fact that I have a thing for rally cars kind of seals the deal. Also knowing that I can now do a pretty decent job of painting bodies I think I have to give it a go. Now on the hunt for a NOS set of original wheels.....I am not holding my breath.

BTW, your second paragraph sounded like the real car.....I understand that reliability was not the cars strong suit.

Thanks guys.

Cheers,
Jim

I have some if you want... I almost never use original wheels, and these have never been removed from the dummy chassis. I drove the body around 5-6 times, and broke 3x, so it sounds similar to the real car

EMU,
I may take you up on your offer if you are sure you do not want them or need them, if not no worries.

I received the body yesterday, it sure is tiny. Looking forward to getting started on this one.

Cheers,
Jim
