Tommy and I have been discussing scheduling. Plan on the 1st weekend of each month.

It makes for an easy to remember schedule that conveniently fits within regional schedules
1st Saturday of the month: Tom's River
2nd Saturday of the month: Washington DC/Remnant
3rd Saturday of the month: Murdertown
4th Saturday of the month: Washington DC/Remnant

The Remnant guys are used to racing 2 days a week, every week so this is easy for those that don't mind the travel. For those like me with limited time, I'll do my best to squeeze a 3rd weekend per month at one of the places as often as I can. For those more local to Tom's River and Murdertown, it's the same alternating weekend schedule as us.

Perseverance is key

Was Talking to Brian Swaney (sleekun) Today about when Remnant might do another race like we had back in the early Spring. There was talk about in the fall but that is just about gone already so maybe something in the Spring again?

I think we're overdue for some remnant running. I think if we choose one of their dates, and let them know to expect a crowd, and see if it's a good date to choose.... it might get the ball rolling.

For me it doesn't need to be a trophy race, my best prize is spending time with great people turning laps!

This can be discussed elsewhere so as not to take away from Tom's River talk but Mike has started the ball rolling in asking to get something on the book for November however Mike also hasn't been back to regular schedule racing yet so it should be picking up with his regular return to indoor racing in the coming week(s). Initial discussions were the standard fare; stock class, MOD class, with the addition of Championship Truck class. Whether or not HFAY class, 86-90mm class and or F1 class or something else make it will be determinate in part on how much interest there is and time availability to get through it all. On an average race day we can safely get through 3 classes in a 4 hour period. Start/stop time and level of participation will ultimately decide how many classes there are. for example, a noon start time and 7pm stop time would allow 5 classes while accommodating the usual fellowship/lunch time that makes the garage so enjoyable. I would personally like to get all our typicaly classes in; Stock, HFAY, MOD, 86-90mm and introduce Championship Truck. You could technically run all classes with as few as two chassis, or one even if you simply swapped out the truck body with an autoscale.

I have asked our crew if the 4th Saturday in November would be a good day for a race or not. that Saturday would be just after Thanksgiving. Does that work for you guys?

Very difficult travel period due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I have made that mistake before.

Looks like we are going to have it on that Saturday after Thanksgiving. Most of our crew said they will be there. Ray, do you want to start a new thread for that race?

I am done with prep for the night, there are just a few more tasks to take care of before racetime.

It will be nice to be back on carpet, I might actually run a bit more than usual during practice...
