So, what's the minimum piece of 7389 to avoid delayed-thorttle..?
Actually, I'd like to install just one layer of them, since the official Kyosho Mini-Z race in my country is not allow us to up-grade the pcbs and motors. We could only use original Kyosho parts. Sigh...
I recently upgraded a mates car, and tested after each pair was added, up to 6x2. At 1x2, quite a delay, 2x2 a little delay, 3x2, if there was a delay, I didn't really notice it enough to say it would be annoying...at 4x2 zero delay....and so on. One thing we do know, is that when FETs are stacked, you reduce the resistance, and I am starting to think this also applies to the switch-on current level, as with each layer added, the delay is reduced to nil eventually. This is just my opinion from testing, but the expert is yet to comment on this.....any input MrE?

Yeah but also guess which FETs will fry first if the motor is a hot one? ..like a recent model NML..just something I have heard from a fellow FET installer who frequents these forums....I do not know from experience
