Wow

Wow nice decals!!

How did you get along sizing and making the decals fit correctly?

BTW what kind of decal paper did you use?

Again, excellent job!

arch2b, I also liked your Altezza sort of blue negative pic. And those inch-up rims. You just can't say enough how nice they look. I have the Ferrari Modena specific "Challenge Cup's", which I believe are not inch-up, but are also made by Square, and I must say they are very nicely done. However, I really didn't like how the Ferrari handled with them, so now I just have them on display.

orange, the decals I'm using are waterslides I think made by Bel Decal. I just whish I could make some white decals, but I don't have a capable printer. On sizing the decals, what I do is first take pics of the cars (front, side, top and back). Then I import the pics to Corel Draw, and scale the pics 1:1 with the actual car measurements. Then I just go to work on the decals in Corel and start coming up with different designs until I like how it looks...Then I just print them and so far they have been very close to the correct size. Kind of long process, but I think it's a good way to come up with the closest possible decal fit.

efsee,

In addition to clear decal paper, they make white decal paper. It works pretty good if you get the laser printer variety. Of course you will have to get it copied on a color laser printer, but the diff in quality is worth the copy cost.

Hey DAMZer, when will you be comming to El Salvador? So far we havn't been able to get together, but maybe on your next visit we can talk shop.

I also have white waterslide decal paper; however, I haven't used it because I really can't print a white logo, otherwise I'll get nothing on the paper. The easiest I can do is probably a number plate, which would not be so difficult to cut.

How did you do the flames on your F360 body?

I also would like to find some good quality decal paper, but I'm looking for clear vinyl which is adhesive backed?

Good luck on that one. The closest I could find is somewhat opaque, something about having to have a media that the ink will stick to.

it doesn't have to be perfectly clear, heck it could even be white. I picked up some "decal paper" at staples a month back or so (10 for $12) and it was static cling decal paper...still havent gotten back there to return it (never opened it once I saw that static cling thing on the package)

I'd like to get it someplace local...

I just need it to print a logo for the battery packs that I sell for micro rs4's, so it doesn't need to be clear or whatever, just vinyl and have really strong adhesive

I'd look at the office supply for the 80 buck pc label printer, Cannon I believe.. It prints on vinyl self adhesive stock. You can also add graphics or logos. The media is available in several different widths-colors-clear-and even laminated extra strength.

I almost bought one the day after Christmas but opted for 256k of DDRram instead.

This should be a good solution for labeling the battery packs.
