Mini-Z East Coast Challenge, November 24, 2018 is in the books!
I want to thank all those that could make it out! It was a number of firsts for us and it all ran very well! First time running the ZRound 'Detect' registration in an event. First time we've ran as many as 4 classes in one event. First time we streamed live on social media.
Thank you to ZRound for adding the 'detect' registration. In my opinion, this is a key part in what allowed us to run 4 classes in a single day.
Thank you to our traveling participants for making the trek and contributing to the skill challenge raising the bar for all.
Thank you to our host Mr. Gary for providing the place we call home and enjoy the fellowship of our racing companions.
Thank you for the incredible food, always a highlight of an event.
We aimed high and I feel like we succeeded despite not formally getting 86-90mm Class in. We try our best to wrap up race days by 6pm and indeed managed to get in 4 classes in 6 hours time. This included double qualifying rounds for Kyosho Stock, HFAY, and Modified classes. I apologize for not getting to hang out more but we needed to keep a tight schedule and spent nearly all day by the PC.
I hope streaming live was enjoyable!? I saw a couple people had checked in to watch. I hope this is something we can do more of in the future. I of course recorded all the mains and will be editing those and uploading in a timely manner.
The East coast once again is building up the Mini-Z scene with more venue's coming online. I would entreat all those that are able, to participate where you can to help see them grow and show continued success.
Sorry, no photos from me... my phone was streaming, I was at the PC all day, marshaling or racing. If you have any photos, please share them with us!

There is also a Holiday Inn Express in that grouping as well. Used them last time. Clean, safe and reasonable.

I would like to see 86-90 and Kyosho Stock classes. If I can get this truck body on something I will add that to my choices.

I have the cab-over body. That isn't helping. To get ready by the race date I think I need to procure a "buggyra" and the mounting kit. I have $...
Any thoughts?

HFAY rules. We ran HFAY for a dozen years so all of us have and keep a HFAY legal car. As soon as Hobby Works expansion is wrapped up, we will return to HFAY racing. In the mean time we simply call it HFAY class.

My hope is another glorious meal will be served. I tried a bit of everything that time I was lucky enough to race at Remnant and it was all so delicious. My tummy was so full and happy, all my races were kinda delirious but oh so fun.
How many trucks are running now? Are there enough to field a class? I may be able to get one running in time and I might change my vote.
