If everything goes my way, I get some volentary funds... or some way to fund a few prototypes........ like if some one gave me 500$ I could definatly make thema proto chassis ... hehehe.. as soon as my design is to a state that can actualy be produced... then I need prototypes, test those, redesign any needed changes, prototype the next version... and so on till its "better" then any other 4WD mini- chassis out there current design uses Mini-Z bodies and tires... as well as custom tires for this design that dont hage uggly center hubs. with big nuts and bearings in them to detract from scale apearance
its AWD FWD or RWD... its changeable. but most AWD are, by removing the front drive axles
With the popularity of the HPI Micro and the simple existence of the Mini-X, I have no doubt that Kyosho or even Tamiya will be coming out with their own 4WD mini-creations.
So Draco, you better speed up your R&D to get that thing into production. Besides, we're all waiting to see it.
the dtm x4 made by abc hobbies is a 1/24 scale (bigger than the kyosho mini-z's 1/28th scale) 4 wheel drive r/c car... you'll have to assemble it yourself, and you'll have to purchase the electronics servo's and some extra stuff just to make it go... haven't got one yet... hehehe... but seriously considering one... mr. mini-z you got any of these in stock? a price quote would be nice... anybody review this thing? haven't done a search on it yet... maybe later...
That's right. I forgot the dtm x4.
I might be getting them mixed up but i recall seeing their prototype with a belt, and now it's a shaft. or is it the other way around. I haven't seen either in a while.
Mini-Z is a registered trademark owned by Kyosho. So, don't expect anyone but Kyosho to market a product named "Mini-Z".
Tamiya beat them all with the tiny TamTech micro racers years ago.
The Mini-X is a good concept combined with bad design!
The ABC AWD would be the one to watch out for though!
As for the Mini-Z, they are great, reliable, easy to tweak and the Auto-Scale bodyshells are great when it comes to detail.
The Mini-Z F1's are incredible too, plus no other manufacturer makes anything that can compare to the Mini-Z F1!
