Who doesn't have a friend...

...to race their Z against? I was going to get one a while back but something came up and I had to use the money for something else but now I am looking into it again (thanks to this forum ) and I was wondering if it's really worth it if you don't have anyone to bash with or race with. I really want one but I just don't want to get bored with it because of that reason.

I can't see any of my friends wanting to drop $150ish (in total with batteries and charges and whatnot) but who knows. Maybe if I got one they would change their minds.

So does anyone here just simply mess around with their Z's by themselves?

Yes!

They are a lot of fun by themselves. Basically a tinkerer's delight or a micro engineer's challenge. Modeling for the bodies, a little electrical for the ESC and motor, a little GT team strategy and tuning for top handling/speed.

Get one and then a bud will follow. The fun factor increases exponentially with the number of cars!!

I also have a brother who recently moved back home and he's actually very into cars and stuff...maybe I could get him to get one of I got one so we could mess around. Or maybe I can talk him into getting an Overland and me a regular one because I really want them both.

He is really into F1 in real life though so I bet he would want that...but I am sure F1's aren't as fun unless you have a couple of people to race with or at least another person with an F1. Maybe I'm wrong? And bashing with an F1 seems dangerous.

A co-worker an I each bought an F1 15 months ago. Now there's 4 of us, and between us there's 5 F1s, 1 non-F1 Z, 3 Mini-Xs, 2 Kawadas, An ABC DTM X4, and even an Epoch.

It looks like a hobby store down there!

And it all comes from that initial purchase...

Yep! Since I got mine a month ago, I just tinker on them and race around the wood floor in my bedroom. I think working on them is 90% of the fun

Although hopefully Pianoman and I can touch base within the next couple months and really trade some paint!

i could spend all day running my racer and overland around by myself. my son is only 3, not ready for them yet. i spend a lot of time tinkering with things like light sets, custom parts etc. i recently bought my much younger brother a viper to bash around with. i only get to hang out with him about two weekends a month though.

the only reason i bought mine was to race around by myself. These things are AWSOME! Everyone out here where i live is pretty poor so they wouldnt dream of buying one. After a while though, one of my friends, known on here as pro420, bought one. Now theres a lot more people out here that are looking in to it!
