Who Wanted The ABC DTM X4?
Back when I used to have a few R/C related pages up, a few guys from this forum expressed interest in the ABC DTM X4 I had pictured there. It was not my car, so I couldn't help them.
Well now it belongs to me, and it's up on a certain unmentionable auction site, even as I type this.
Just an FYI...

And the mystery bidder regains (temporary[?]) ownership of this fine ABC DTM once again...

I knew somebody around here wanted the X4!
Couldn't remember who, though!

By the way, I've also acquired a Kawada, a Mini-X and a Mini-Z F1, all hopped up for racing, that will be on the block soon.

Hmmm.
Chezedog, why no "Buy Now" option? I would have owned it already. This is hard work!

Wow, outbid by a few cents again!
Well, call me tenacious, stupid or a sucker for punishment, but either way I want that X4. LOL!
I wonder how it would go with my Mamba Brushless setup installed?

That's what an Xray M18 is for--a brushless motor. By the way, I probably won't bid anymore since I can purchase a new setup at the current price. Have fun if you win the auction.

He who wants, gets...
Mine, mine, mine!
Yup, Mondo is the proud owner of a lovely ABC DTM X4.
I have to try the Mamba brushless setup in this beast.
Thanks Chris, I'll cherish it

I guess you did want it at that price. Have fun and try not to splatter it all over the place with the Mamba. Of course, I don't know which Mamba you have and whether or not you plan to run it with a 3-cell LiPo. However, take and post photos after the crash and burn.

Thank YOU!
We'll ship it off first thing tomorrow.
Now, who wants an F1 Ferrari?

Not me, I already have three ready-to-race F1s and traded the Ferrari body away.

Right, the price was great, as the UK hobby distributors tag us 1:1 on the US$.
So, if something costs $100, we pay £100 which is equal to US$182.
The DTM X4's are hen's teeth to find in the UK, plus that one is barely used, has a nice bodyshell and decent electronics.
The UK price of the electronics alone would cost me what I paid for the entire DTM X4 setup - Orion Flash ESC etc..
As for splattering it, I am no RC rookie, I own a fleet of RC cars, many of them small scale and many of them horribly fast.
I was one of NML's first customers and have a few of his insane motors installed on my Z's.
The Mamba brushless I have is the 5600 kV model with ESC. I am going to be ordering another brushless setup just for the DTM X4. I think a 5600 kV is more than fast enough as Mamba claim that 5600K kV motor can propel a Losi Mini-T to speeds in excess of 45 mph - according to Castle Creations' (Mamba Mfg) testing.
I can only imagine how a DTM X4 will perform!
