Charger question

This may sound weird, but...

I tried using my Tekin BC110L charger to charge my week-old NiMh batteries today, and on the 1A setting, The batteries peaked after about 4 mins. And on my brand new NiMh's, they were peaked after 2 mins!! Is this right? I ran my car around for about 25 mins and the batteries (both sets) seemed to be strong the whole time.

Does this sound right to you? The voltmeter said the batteries were charged, but I can't believe they could be fully charged after 2 minutes!

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Yes I think its better to just buy a commercial type battery charger for mini-z batteries...as I'm assuming fuse01 does I use the rayovac PS4 1 hour charger and its great.I bought mine for 30 dollars. They usually cost between 25 and 35 dollars.

Just for your guys reference, we have two quick chargers in the market:

- Powerhaus, around US$13.00.

- GP, around US$47

Both of them charge 700 mah batteries for around 20 - 30 mins.

yeah GP charger is the best!.. the one with trickle charge function, after fully charging your batteries, rather than shutting off, it will still continue, not charging, but topping off your batteries with minimum voltage/amps keeping your batteries full charge all the time, (until you remember you are charging your batts! hehehe) i charge my batts before i sleep, even when i wake up late, there's no worry of burning those little batts like those timed chargers do, and they're dangerous too! if you forgot you are charging your batts it may cause fire and burn your house to ash!!, so why bother saving a few bucks for a timed charger, i suggest for you to get the best charger with only a few dollars, you'll forget the hassle of checking if time is up, or worse overcharging or underchanging your batts that greatly affects its performance and will result to another trip to your local hobby shop for a new set of batties! (i think i should apply for GP as their Sales Manager hehehe!)
