I look to be in for this race.
I should be running stock,mod and f1.
Russ how worn in is your track. Is the dust gone yet from it?

I think I have the bugs worked out on my f1, and it is sporting a new power plant(atomic stock-r).

Nope, still pretty dusty. However, despite the dust you get a lot of grip on this track. I'm able to whip my MR02 around full-speed with gpm 25s on front and rear so 15's should give you great traction which is what I normally run. I'll also vacuum the track good the night before using the shop vac and brush attachment (works great).

I'll post the likely layout sometime this week. I'll try and make it as big as reasonable, which is pretty big. Also, this is normal sized RCP, not mini-98.

Also, I have 2 folding tables (one will likely go to the PC and printer) and another area that could be used as pit space but if someone has a folding table that is easy to transport it might help to bring it along. If not, no big deal.

yay RCP! If only I got my motors back, I'd run my mod car with foams. I guess I'll try my new 94mm car then.

Ok, I was in a creative mood. I created nearly the longest track I could and since I hate bumpouts I went about getting rid of them wherever I could. I also widened the track in two places to create passing zones. The white spots you see are me filling the holes with spongy packing foam left by using inside corner or reversing the bumpout on bumpout pieces. Hope you guys will like this layout.

For reference for others, this uses the majority (few corner pieces and bumpouts left) of 4 wide ovals.

I really like the layout Russ! It should be fun!

Art, I picked up a Tamiya motor and put in a bb can with neos. I'll run that, but if the batteries start dumping, I might take you up on your offer. Thanks!

I got my order in today for this race. Hopefully I can get enough time in to get use to m8 with the AM module with my zs.
I got the pn motor mount for the f1. It is very trick in how it mounts the motor.
I also got 2 set of orion 1100 and a set of 900s for stock. after 1 run the orion 1100s appear to have a much higher ir then my sanyos, The are very warm after a full 15 minute run my my f1. my better power cells ruf sent me with my last order fall in between my sanyos and the orions. They dont have the snap on the bottom but have the voltage for top end. hopefully the orions come to life after a few cylces.

looks like my 7 year old mr01 board might have went out. I had a broken gear fixed it. I got it back together and ~ 2 minutes later the steering has gone beserk. I resoldered the attenna, check all wires and do not see anything odd. looks like I am only in for f1 and mod now. Art
I am still not that happy with the orion 1100s, the lack speed and punch, The 900s Are awsome though.

Thanks again Russ for hosting the race! I had alot of fun racing on your RCP track. It really helped to have that extra traction for mod class.

Oh, also looking forward to any videos your able to make

I finally solved my F1 woes out. the new motor moutn was hitting the body on the left side at the front. I had no travel on the left side thus the lack of side bite on the track with all but 1 right hand turn. I removed material from the mount and the body and all is good now.
