Exclamation Calling all Transmitter experts!

I need volunteers!

With this new transmitter forum I'd like to get a good list going of all the transmitters fully compatible with the Kyosho Mini-z. Preferably a description as well. You can even pull descriptions right from the manufactureres website.

Arch2b did an awesome job with the different chassis and such. Lets see if we can do this one for him!

Post up the info and I'll cut, paste, and sticky

good idea! thanks

be sure to quote as much of the manufacturer information as possible. embed and ATTACH any images/information necessary.

byebye, when the pasted completed thread is done, be sure to attach any files as well. the reason why i prefer files are attached as well as embed is they are often lost on other websites or if the product gets dinscontinued they often take the page down which reults in broken links. attaching files ensures long term reliability of the files.

That's what I'm talking about! I went to Ko-propo and they didn't have all that info. I'll have to go to maybe a reseller site and get the info and pics there.

Goodjob Tzero

i've also started threads for this for chargers as well. it would be nice to get them for batteries. i think we could use this kind of info in just about all the forum sections. i just need to find someone willing to do the work for the battery/charger forum.

byebye, i assume after you compile the info in a thread you'll close and sticky it? maybe do one tx per post?

this is going to be an awsome addtion to this forum!

Ran into this thread while searching for something else. I know this isn't the type reply that's wanted, but the Losi Micro-T transmitter works perfectly too. I bought my Z without a TX because I was on a budget and already had the T's TX. Maybe somebody can put up a post with features and a pic, or maybe this will help somebody else who just happens to wonder if they can use a Micro-T controller to save start-up costs, like I did.

On the MX-A I think its supposed to be 12 model memory for the AM version and 5 for the FM version.
I also had a question about "Shift". A guy at Global hobby said that a Futaba transmitter works on negative shift and the Airtronics works on Positive shift. I thought that was only for 75mhz? If thats the case then why do both work with the Mini-Z?
Would an Aitronics MX-A 27mhz transmitter with a 27.195 crystal work with a Futaba 27mhz receiver (R152JE) with a 27.195 crystal?

Yes, this Tx will work, but please check the steering response. I was using a Sportworks Tx from a Recoil rtr and the steering response was noticebly slower. A buddy at the track let me borrow his M8 and it was like driving a totally different car(in a good way). The stock KT-5 works good too. Not all TX's are created equal and just because it works, doesn't mean it works good. Just something to keep in mind.

Since we're talking about mini-z transmitters:
27 MHz AM module is required for this radio to be compatible with mini-z

xr2i

Make sure when you buy a xr2i you buy the 27mhz band and not the 75mhz alot of the people selling them donot list this on the info so make sure you ask if not listed because the 75mhz version is more likely to be around more often than the 27mhz version . it stinks i have the 75 version and need the 27 version although i bought it for a mini t back in the day and 75mhz was way better than 27mhz more channels but now that i have a z i wish i had bought the 27mhz version
