The Slingshot

Not really a track but it's fun. It still needs better supports and side rails. The material is post-form high-pressure laminate. With the finished side down, the phenolic backer is a good running surface but it might be a bit abrasive for some.

nope, not yet. I still have to finish it, and then I might try to retro-fit it to my RCP track before any video. wish me luck.

Ken, I'm working on a few prototype banked turns for the RCP design. I will post some pictures when they're finished. Some of the idea's I am incorporating work well, but I think they will work better, once I finish manufacturing larger radius outside corners . I am waiting for more feedback on the original turns before I incorporate them into production schedule. The original corners have a 19 1/2 inch radius. I am all set up at my factory for larger radius turns, 45 degree transitions and blank tiles.

I wanted to incorporate banking into the Kyosho Cup Series, but the organizers wanted the track flat. They where concerned about the front wing of the F-1 rubbing at the bank entry. I believe the bank can be achieved without the F-1 front wing rubbing. I know this for a fact, because at the RCX show last year, my bridge track in the Kyosho booth had a slight bank at the bridge upward transitions. The F-1's wing did not rub.

Wow! Very nice track! I am very impressed. I wish I have a place to set up a permanent track like that. What is the surface? Looks like some kind of felt.

I remember that track. Very nice. The barriers look friendly unless you crash right by an anchor. They seem like a pretty solid obstacle to run into.

Yes, they can be a bit hazardous LOL.

I am thinking of changing it around a bit and straightening it out a bit, its rather tight for F1's and X-MOD's, you bang into the barriers A LOT!

I am thinking of switching to 3/4 PVC and making it more less reconfigurable, it looks nice however its not very practical.

Need to update my laser lap counter too.

Now that its getting into winter I will be spending more time at it, so I will be posting more pictures.
