Hi, 1st post here. name is Lewis/louie/idiot/fats/fatso/stupid, i answer to anything other than **sir** or *late for dinner*. dum Bass is a very common name for me too (because a smart fish doesn't get caught). new here to mini zracer, but not to r/c. Getting ready to join yall in the great Island chain of Philippines. Met my wife on internet, she (from Misamis Oriental) immigrated here to US almost 8 years ago. We are currently finishing up our house and getting ready to move back to PI in 6-12 weeks (lord willing). We will be on the Northern end of Mindanao just outside of Cagyan de Oro. Will I have any neighbors close to me once I get settled?
Although I do not currently have any z cars, we have 3 Zmotorcycles. My r/c interests over the years is primarily scaler style 4x4s however back christmas time last year i got my first tamiya 18wheeler and the trucking and construction bug has really taken over. most big rigs and construction being 14-16th scale, a 18th scale motorcycle will fit in pretty well. So as luck has it in my life, bid on 1 thing on ebay, get out bid, so i now bid on multiples. well, out of the 4 auctions i bid on, i ended up with 3!!!!
really looking forward to learning all the ins and outs of these lil bugers. i'm very confused from all the different chassis's over the years but slowly figuring it out, I THINK.... I was lucky enough in life, when kyosho came out with the mini z's, i was still busy burning up the house and tennis courts with my original 1/24th tamtech road cars. Mini z's just never caught my eye so I never followed them much. so far, i'm settling pretty firmly on 2-4 of the mr03s *ready sets* to begin with for us. i have also been eyeballing the atomic amz awd really close too.
sooo, i'll shut my piehole now, i've rambeled on long eough.

moderators,
if you feel this is not the appropriate spot for a introduction, please move it to right section. i put it here since i am moving to Philippines soon.
greetings billy bob... nice of you to post... you might want to try going over this forum on rctech... manila racers i think there might be some rc's in cdo but not too sure... try doing a search on rctech... good luck...
I see your in Makati, I usually stay at the Bayview across the street from the us embassy. Plus there is a very good chinese restaurant a few blocks to the south. Not many things better than a good bed after some good food when traveling. Especially after a 30+ hour day/trip.
I will check out the manila racers on the link you gave me.
Thanks I really appreciate it.
Louie
no problem... the local mini-z scene here is er... quite small... no pun intended... i just guess that guys over here stick to the bigger scales... mini-z activity for me has kinda dwindled down to collecting and browsing the forums... send me an email when you get here, and if i have the time, we can try and meet up...
