Question Mini Z Racing / Track in SoCal??

Greetings All,

I'm new here. I'm thinking of purchasing a Mini-Z. Does anyone know of any tracks / hobby store for public racing / learning in the Southern California area? I was told that Kenon Hobby is not open to the public. I do not have an area big enough in my little home for a personal race track. So, before I purchase one, I'm looking for a place to go run / learn / have fun with a mini-z. I'm open to suggestions.

Thank all.

Thanks for the info.

This is an email reply I received from Kenon this week when I inquired about track and shop hours:

“Hi

Our track not open for public, if you want to buy stuff, please look around
our web site, you can come around 3pm to 5pm

Thanks

Customer Service
Kenon Hobby
13200 Brooks Dr, Suite E,
Baldwin Park, CA 91706, USA”

Interesting... any reply to what FastDad posted?

Looks like KenonHobby itself said the track isn’t open...

I just send an email to check and make sure someone will be there if I'm planning to stop by to pick up some parts, or run some laps. The calendar on their website will also show the date for the monthly Track day (generally the 1st Sunday of the month)

Btw, there's also an RCP track in Lancaster at Skyhunter Hobbies. Super nice staff and good stock of mini-z parts.

Where are good places to race near and around Los Angeles? Anything within 20 miles?
