I'm new to the world of higher-end radios. I just purchased an EX-6r. I love it, but I've noticed it chews through batteries pretty quick. I am having a surprisingly hard time figuring out how to buy a charging cable and battery for this controller. Unless I missed it, the manuel has no info other than how to select the type of battery you are using. I wrote to KO Propo, but they told me to buy their charging cable and hook it to my RC Charger (which I don't have since I only race Mini-Z aaa batteries) Anyway, I can't find the cord on their website or anywhere else, and I don't know what batteries to use with the charger if I can find it. You would think they would want to sell accessories for their radios like crazy.
If any of you has info on what type of cord and battery or batteries I need to buy and where to buy them, I would really appreciate it. (Especially if the charger just plugs into an AC outlet).
I just use the same AAA rechargable batteries I use in my Mini-Z.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that, but I thought it would be cool to be able to just plug it in without messing with pulling the batteries out. The manual also say not to put NiMH batteries in the included battery holder which doesn't make sense to me, but they say it will corrode the included battery box.

On this topic just ignore the manual. You can use nimh rechargeables just fine. If you're not gonna be using your radio for any length of time just remove the battery box.
I personally switched to lithium batteries because even the aaa nimh didn't last very long. It was an easier switch for me though as I already had a lithium capable charger. The ex6 does require a different base to use lithium batteries (KOP10546) which is a bit spendy. Adding the cost of a charger makes the whole switch very very spendy. But the lipo battery lasts for months instead of hours.
Thanks for the info! I was hoping I could just buy an ac adapter that plugged into the port and recharged the nimh in the battery box in the handle. Oh well. . . Thanks again!
