friends in Japan, need info...

Hello All

few of my friends are going to visit Japan in a month or so. since they are not RC people and have no knowledge in this field at all, I want to give them simple instructions on buying me some stuff...I am also a noob when it comes to mini-z, I only got my OL a month ago.

I have a few Q's:
* how much does a mini-z cost in Japan? I want a MR02, btw.
* which hop ups should I get
* is there a clone-accideental-buy risk in japan?

if someone can give a helpful link or straight up info, I'd really appreciate it.
thanks!

Here is a map to hobby shops in Tokyo (Akihabara).
http://liaison.ms.u-tokyo.ac.jp/agusta/akihabara.html

Super Radi-Con usually has a large selection. Second, would be R/C Champ.

As for parts, make a list. Your friends should be able to find *everything* there.

that's a lot cheaper than their list price... but i think h.k. is still much cheaper

it's quite fun out of the box... but if you need hop ups, look no farther than
bearings, ball diff, carbon fiber cf plates & an xspeed motor... that's all

if you tell them to go to a reputable hobby shop that sells kyosho stuff, i guess they'll be safe... although i may be wrong, i don't think japan has room for fake stuff...

hope this helps and good luck...

oh yeah you can go to www.kyosho.co.jp (choose japanese version) and click on mini-z i think there's a list of japanese stores in there...

Red face Thanks!

I was a bit frustrated from what I saw on kyosho.jp, it seemed like there was hardly any difference from prices around the world...
thanks to everyone who replied, you all helped!

btw Headbanger, for some reason I get a msg saying I cannot pm anyone...so if you would be kind enough as to mail me whatever you can to dorilx@yahoo.com, I'd appreciate it very much.
