When I first installed the ball diff, it seemed like it would make noise when I was turning. I guess that's what its supposed to do right? Make a little noise when one wheel has more traction?
Anyway, it doesnt seem to make that noise anymore so I'm debating on taking it apart. I actually think I've tuned it a little better since it goes straight if I floor it. That's on carpet. Lynoleum is another story.
So my questions are:
How is this damn thing supposed to help me? Should I hear noise when the car turns?
What do I need to do to make the damn thing go straight on a smooth surface? I'm already running 30 degree tires all around.
If I want to take this thing apart, should i beware of any gotchas ? Like little balls or something flying all over the place or any special grease I'll need.
there will be little ballz in the spur gear... they dotn usually "fall" out... btu soemtimes they might... just be carefull and take the peices off on by one so u remeber which ones go where!

yes, it can make some sounds when its new becouse everithing dosent fit 100 procent. if the sound is gone thats the way it should be. And if the car just goes straight forward when you are not driving on a carpet you should loosen the diff. Because when the diff is really hard there are no diff effect.
Good traction = Hard diff
Bad traction =loose diff - not to loose
