Stacked heats? I imagine that the heats will be loaded as they normally are. Known skill level. That way you hot dogs won't have me as a rolling roadblock. There is tin in the wind. You don't want it decided by someone in the way.

Eric, if you need an F1, I should be able to help you out.
I just got home from MHS, working on my new SP2 Carbon F1 to prepare for the Carolina Cup. Out of the box, I installed the Mantis bumper and caster/camber towers. Prepped the body (which took longer than I expected, but I wanted to do it right). I put it on the track, and was impressed... I was still using the stock parts everywhere; mount, side springs, Kyosho damper, ball diff and X-Speed with 6t pinion, tie rod/knuckle. I wanted to see what the car would be like with only the Mantis bumper and towers. And it was pretty driveable... Could definitely be a raceworthy car with some tweaking with the stock parts.
After a couple laps, the car started hooking to the left. The diff was packed with a lot of grease out the box, and the diff plate was slipping on the plate holder. I swapped in an ATM diff (46t) for a quick fix... and it was back to good again. I will rebuild it, and swap out some of the stock Kyosho parts for Qteq and glue the plates in place.
I then swapped out the stock mount for a PN with ATM Stock BB that I had on an F1 that I had started using as a parts car at the ALS race... I used the side springs as well, which is something that I didnt like to do with a standard Disc damper setup where I usually use a top shock. Being that this is a mod class car, I dont want the top shock, as I want a little more squat on power than one that I run for stock motors.
Besides adding the mount, diff (if I rebuilt the stock one, it would work fine), Mantis bumper and Caster towers, I didnt really do much, but the car felt very planted, and almost had the control of a stock car at the higher speeds. Something that I feel is usually lost when going to a faster motor. There are usually more problems that show through.
It felt better at faster speeds than I expected it to. That says a lot for the caster towers. Transitioning in the corners was very smooth, despite some binding on the stock knuckles that I am going to hone a little before the next track day.
With so many neccessary parts coming on the SP2 chassis, it only took me about 4 hours to get the car race ready, although it isnt fully built up with a lot of option parts that I usually replace on my F1 builds. I still have stock tie rod(which I may leave because I feel confidant that the Mantis bumper will protect it). I am going to install the Mantis rear wing as well. I think that it will finish the setup perfectly. I could use a little more rear bite with the Kyosho 30 fronts. I feel that they are just a little too grabby.
I am really excited for this race. It should be a lot of fun, win or lose.

Larry,It will be good to see you and race with you again, glad you could make it.
As far as Matt goes, he's like a regular member at our club, always a pleasure.
Eric,
You can borrow my old F-1 if you like, it is the one that Ed used in the past. I have it with me in FL, you will not be race with it until next Monday when we get back. Unless you want me to FedX it to the office for you. Let me know.

Mike, if you are saying will I help tech instead of marshalling, YOU GOT IT!
I marshalled at the enduro enough for a life time.
I am too old for that part of the sport, not to mention my spare tire.
Old guys need a break every now and then.

Larry, you have a way to go to catch Mike and me.
Look forward to seeing you. Why don't you grab Ed C also on the way down and get him to race with us again? If I remember correctly he was the one that got you to come this far SOUTH the first time for a race.
