Arrow Ann Arbor Mini-Z Dojo Summer/Fall 2010 Enduro Series Rules and Regulations

Mini-ZRacer.com Ann Arbor Mini-Z Dojo Summer/Fall 2010 Enduro Series Rules and Regulations

The Enduro season's regulations are based on the 2010 Racing Series Rules and Regulations with the following changes:

60 minute main

LM Class (New!)

Any 130-size motor
Any battery size/capacity
102mm Kyosho AutoScales, all windows required (material may be removed for suspension clearance)
LM or traditional wheels may be used
4 x 15 minute quali (fastest lap)
60 minute main

F1 Class
70T or X-Speed motor
Tire inserts are permitted
2 x 10 minute quali (fastest lap)
20 minute main

Points
Points are as follows:
1st: 10
2nd: 8
3rd: 6
4th: 5
5th: 4
6th: 3
7th: 2
8th: 1
TQ: +1
Fastest lap: +1

Pit Stops/Marshaling
Battery changes may only be performed after pulling into the pit area.
Cars may be driven only from the driver stand - it is recommended that transmitters be left on the stand during pit stops - each incident of driving from any area other than the driver stand shall result in a 5 lap penalty.
Cars must be self-marshaled, and may not be placed on any part of the track except the pit area. Battery changes may not take place during a pit stop that resulted from an accident. The pits are arranged such that the exit is past the timing loop, and a lap will not be earned.

Bonus
When 10 or more entries are present, winners of each of the GT and LM classes receive $5 shop.tinyrc.com Gift Certificates!

Thanks to PN Racing's Mini-Z World Cup 2009 Rules and Regulations, Reflex Racing's American Mini Le Mans Series North American Endurance Series, and Kyosho America's Route 241 Racing Classes(PDF) for providing some of the inspiration that went into our rules.

I think we said that if you do choose to change your batteries when you do a pitstop that resulted from an accident that you would get an extra 2 lap penalty (is that enough?). I assume the same would apply if for some reason your car totally died and couldn't make it back to the pits to change batteries.

Also I proposed 1 qualifier and 8 or 10 minute main for F1 in the Schedule Thread. Any thoughts?

Are you allowing any type of battery? I would suggest that only NiMh batteries are used in GT. That would gaurantee at least one pit stop for everyone.

Cheetos to everyone.

I agree with Jerry. We should limit the batteries in GT (aka "Stock") to only NiMh AAAs.

FYI, we are considering removing the qualifying for the F1 races and shortening the length to 8 or 10 minutes to make it easier to fit in to our AA GTG race night.

We could do starting order as random or maybe reverse order of points standing (highest points start last).

Again this is just for the F1 class.
