Pit Lane?
I thought Ive seen pit lanes incorporated into track pictures before. I thought there was mention of a kit for adding a pit lane. I cant seem to find one anywhere on any the online stores I visit, and didnt see one anywhere on the RCP site.
Are these available? Is there a part number so I can order one?
Are the ones Ive seen possibly made custom using mini96 tiles or something?

you can easily make one with the existing tiles. just by alternating the tiles then adding loose rails between them.
I've done it. you do need to have the extra track to do it.
I do remember a mention of a kit though.

Thanks Brian! We are a group of semi-engineers so we should be able to come up with a good DiY idea. If there is something available though, Id like to get it in with the initial purchase. The boss man is game for spending some $$, but I dont know when he will be again

FWIW, we should be joining the HFAY gang pretty soon Im going to be reading through your site and trying to get a lock on how much room we need. Weve got plenty in one direction, but not so much in the other. Ill shoot you a PM or email if I come up with any Qs....if thats allright with you.

No kit as of yet. As mentioned above, you can make a pit lane using existing rcp tiles.
If you know which tiles and rails you need to make your own custom pit lane, go ahead and email the shop here at mini-zracer. I can put together a custom pit lane kit for you and process it through the shop here.
edit: Also let the shop know if you are ordering any other rcp produsts, as we might be able to squeeze everything in one box and save on shipping costs to you.

We will be buying 3 wide 'L's and the inside turn kit to start. Depending on what layout we choose there may be enough track pieces left over to make our lane. If not Ill get a list together and we will order more when we decide what other features we want to try. We are coming from unlitmited possibilites (carpet track where we make our own custom walls) so Im sure we'll want to get into 45* kits, chicanes, NASCAR wide turns, and all the other goodies you offer
BTW, I will be placing the order through the shop here We always get good service, so we keep coming back.
Thanks B - It looks like all the currently posted layouts (trials and scheduled races) will fit into our room no problem. Hopefully we can join up for the season at the end of the year.

I had another question I thought Id go ahead and ask here instead of making another thread.
Why are certain shops out of certain items if you drop ship them straight from RCP? For instance we now want to order 2 wide Ls and the track with the 45* turn kit in it. tinyrc doesnt list the 45* track, but Amods do. We would prefer to order from here, but need to get what we want all from one shop.

That is correct. All RCP Track orders originating in the USA are shipped from our warehouse. If they are out of stock at our warehouse, than none of our distributors will have them available. If a specific website shows "In Stock" a track that is "Out of Stock" at our warehouse, then their website is incorrect.
You can order from here ANY RCP Track that is "In Stock". You can order the 45 degree sections separately. The part number is 50045. The kit comes with enough pieces to make the 45 degree sections in the oval track you are referring, TWICE. Let me know if you have any other questions. Feel free to email the shop here for pricing on the kit.
Thanks

Thanks again for the speedy response. We just placed our order with MZR. We ended up going with 3 Ls, an inside turn kit, and the 45* kit.
How long do you think it will take for you guys to get them out to us? Amods said 4-5 days for y'all to ship, but tiny didnt give any indication.
Thanks again for your help. We look forward to racing on the best surface in the industry It will be my first time ever racing on it, so hopefully I can maintain my high ranking spot within our group when we switch surfaces

Hrdrvr,
Check for PM.
I am frequently in MB on business, so I would like to know how to contact you when I am in town. I almost always carry my gear to play with in the hotels but a track would be much nicer.
Thanks

RCP, Here at Chattanooga RC we have a pit lane setup that you sent to us in an order. I didnt order the track, and that member can no longer be reached. Was this something special? or some demo pieces that were acquired from an RCX show?
