Thanks Mondo! A few years ago I was in London on the 4th, and I was really surprised by how much recognition of the 4th there is over there now, they were giving out some special B&J ice cream, and everywhere was having special red white and blue items etc.

Happy 4th! May where you are be fun, PEACEFUL and SAFE! And those of you who do (no offense to those who don't), say a prayer for those in L.A. Unfortunately there's been some trouble... Lord, help us...

OMG, if you guys are ever in a fireworks store, look for a thing called the "Titanic". I know, it may get a few people angry, but it's shaped just like the famous cruise liner, the Titanic. It's about a foot long & I found it on the sale counter for $10 US.

Good gosh, this thing lasted for like 5 minutes!!!!!

If I had pics, I would post them, but the whole friggin ship burned up at the end

Happy 4th to all!!!

Titanic

Russ,

One fundimental difference:

The Titanic went down and not up in flames!
They shoulda shaped it like the cannabis van in the legendary Cheech 'n Chong movie and named it: "Up In Smoke"

i'm from australia but i've been in america for the last 2 wks (with another 2 to go).. i ended up spending july 4th at yorktown where i watched the fireworks display (and parked my car on the battlefield lol)

i've just got back from washington where i spent the 'holiday' wkend.. damn you guys love to get out and about on the wkends :P

all i've seen on the news about these last 4 days is deaths, destruction and mayhem.. first in La with the gunman letting loose at the El Al ticket counter, and now i get back to newport i hear about 4 drowning deaths in and around virginia beach.

is there something they put in your independence day hotdogs and bottled water that sends u guys loopy? :P~

nope no loppy hotdogs here. all the stuff in the news is pretty bad, but that isn't everyone in the U.S. not everyone is a murder, or crazy person but by watching the news you would think that. it is nice here in America but every place has its dangers. Even Australia

yeh australia can be dangerous.. just u dont tend to get random gunmen because only cops or serious criminals carry weapons.

and for the record.. the crocadile hunter is in no way a reflection of an aussie.. and neither was crocadile dundee

i've actually found most ppl here to be nice, and for some reason everyone i speak to has to tell me they love my accent, or my voice is sexy, or they could listen to me talk for hours.. or a combination thereof hehe -- what accent?
