I got this old Porsche rc car today but I am missing the battery cover for it on the bottom and one the controller. I got this car (my first rc ever) about 15 years ago and wore it out and traded it off to a friend. I found this one on ebay and now I just need the bat covers for it. Anyone know a place I can find them ?
Im also looking for a new motor for it and or if you have any thing off this car and are willing to part with it email me at cuda033@msn.com or hemihulk@yahoo.com thank you
what scale is it? putting hobby gratde electronics may be a good option and give you added performance
I think its 1/12 scale. I was thinking the same thing about better parts. The one I had as a kid I traded off to a friend and we put a rechargable battery in it but then he moved and I never saw the car again.
I would like to put a new motor in it soon as my dig cam get back here I will post some new pics close ups and get more info on it. The motor has a has a fast and slow speed setting on it witch Ireally dont care if it works or not but I am worried about the tires. I rant he tires of my Rs4 hpi so fast and even a few of my old battery powered cars before. But On the other hand I wont be driving this alot either. I would like to keep it in good condition and Im really thinking about beefing up the power on it now. But need to find some new parts or good used parts. I think the motor in this one is still strong but the gears may be worn down a bit. If anyone has thoughts on parts I would love to hear them.
