X Power Damper changing height?

Dear all,

I just bought a new X Power damper last month

the club shop owner helped me to put that on,

I had a 599xx, and after he installed that damper we found out the whole car chassis was too low. The body and tire would rub each other.

I don't know how the owner did, he changed the damper setting and my car was fine then,

today I was changing my body from 599xx to LaFerrari. I felt that I've got the same problem again. when the car was running, the car body kept shaking,

is there anything I can do?

I never had this problem before when I changing the body one to another. But now seems the damper is a big object in my chassis.

sorry for the stupid post,

I went to the club today, they told me mr03 sports motor mount can't change height, so it's not a good idea to change the x power damper's height.

I didn't quite understand but seems like I can only change the height of damper when I have a motor mount with height adjustable function

Do you think you can post a couple photos of how the whole assembly goes together?

If there might be a way too shim either the damper or the T plate to make it function properly then try that first before purchasing something different

http://www x-powerrc com/product_detail.php?id=183

Is that the part you have?

If it is (and the plate is too far away from the motor mount (therfore pulling the mount/t plate out of alignment) try removing it and flipping the shock mount part over the top of the damper plate. That will lower the plate and disk s closet to the damper post.

On the reply page there isa yellow square with a landscape in it that represents post a photo. If you copy the photo link from flikr page you can insert/paste it the pop up.

As for your chassis, it's hard to tell exactly the issue.

When the damper is installed does it bend the t plate upwards?

My suggestion is to take the top damper parts off and have the T plate sit straight. Investigate what kind of space you need to adjust.

1.You can try installing the damper plate before the top shock plate.

2. You could also try shimming the damper spring post so it sits higher

It'd be great to seea close up photo of the chassis from a side view sitting on a flat surface.

sorry took so long to post,

it's a good damper though

another question

do you know how to uninstall that damper off?

Do I need a special screw driver to unscrew the verticical shocks?

someone helped me to put that on and it's time to clean it a bit
