This has not been not run since BTE #12 so should be interesting. seems we skipped #10-12? I don't recall skipping any BTE.

sure enough skipped 10 and 11. I don't see that we skipped #12 based on forum history but doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Smaller than normal turnout but fun none-the-less! Definitely a more relaxed schedule and offered some time to do more testing on the lap timing bridge.

For the bridge, we moved the height down 6"+/- which works fine with both old and new transponders. It was tested crossing at virtually any angle and all passes detected. I also removed the third sensor and retested and all works. The last thing to do at this point is purchase the RF shielding panels for either side. The lower height reduces the sq.ft. area to cover making it much less expensive but it really does work. I tested the film with the lower height and two sensors and it worked well.

Bill and I also tested comparison of 70t and PN3500kv and we finished a lap apart after 10 minutes with the edge going to the brushless motor. We were both using 100% of the throttle so it really was more of a balanced race than say a 5000/5000kv in which your not using all of the throttle most of the time. This was also on a 3 wide L layout vs. the normal 2 wide L layout where you had a long back straight and a good grouping of turns.

Overall, it was a good track layout that offered some good passing spots that would have been much more fun had more drivers participated but it was also an absolutely beautiful summer weekend so can't blame anyone for enjoying the great weather. Thanks Chris and Chris Jr for making it out. John as usual made it a challenge for me to see who made less mistakes. I felt like my car was slightly better in the twisty bits and edged out a lead, just barely.

As usual, I have to wait till HFAY releases the results before i can post them or video. I will however upload the test race with Bill and myself. I don't have the results page as it was just a test race and couldn't find the html results for the race when done.

Hobby Works restocked sports2 kits with a couple more 599xx and LaFerrari kits. The new 911's had not come in yet.

If enough people who missed the BTE want to do a 'make up', we possible can arrange for this however those of us who already participated would be prohibited from doing so. we can squeeze in two quick races possibly if there is enough interest on the stock/mod day.

Yeah I'd be interested though the timing might not work for me.
