Where should the ball bearings be?

2 in each front wheel. 2 in the motor mount.

1 in the rear wheel on the spur gear side. I think this is different depending on which diff you have.

i apparently have a topcad ball diff.. this came blankly packaged so i dont know for sure.. all research i've done suggests topcad.

neway, the diff came with a bearing pre-installed on the wheel side of the spur gear.. and with the bearing kit there are 7 bearings.

4 go in the front wheels, either side of the rim and replace the black plastic bushing.

the other 3 as far as i have worked out go in the motor mount (2 either side).. and the 3rd goes in the outside of the wheel on the spur gear side of the car. the rear left wheel still uses the black stock bushings as it is fixed to the rear axle.

hope that helps

bearings

It seems you have a spare bearing, my friend as the diff you have, has the bearing already with it. the bearing you're trying to fit is, i think, designed for the stock diff.

7th. bearing of the 7th. set

Doc:
Nope.. Gmeovr has it right. The 7th. bearing is supposed to go to the outside of the right rear wheel (spur gear side) because the shaft rotates with the wheel on the other side.

ur right w-tone, i misread it and assumed he had an extra bearing. i thought he had fitted that bearing already and had this on left over...... guess i should read a bit closer....
