I have been running mine for a few races now, feels very similar to my 458 body with no setup changes. Maybe a little more agile.
At first I thought it was a bit weak above the front wheel arches due to the grill cutouts, but it's been through numerous traction rolls and (unintentional) contact with other cars without anything breaking.
Looks good. I now have 2 ready to go. For some reason i havent really got to do much testing with it yet.

thanks guys, i think it'll be a good track body from what I see of the track time I have. I'm going to change a few things and run it for awhile and see what I think. I'll mount this one onto my brushless car and use the Mclaren LM on my stock car.
I need some more time running it, but my initial thoughts are very positive. The body handles well has good steering and feels really planted. Time will tell on the durability of the body.
Is it just my body or a feature of all these McLaren bodies, that the side clips are very loose? If they are glued to the default position, the body has nearly 4mm of free side to side movement. So, I had to move and secure the side clips some 2mm clear of their places on both sides to prevent the body from shaking itself loose.
Very light and nice body othervise. With all small parts omitted, painted and lexan windows installed, the body is at 21.8g before any additional lightening.

They are a bit loose. The body is pretty flexible. I use "blue tac" putty type stuff on my side clips for serious racing....hold well.
for you guys racing this body if you haven't added some glue around the front body mount i would as i have cracked mine across the splitter along the bottom of the body clip in the little indent right up to the headlight from a high speed hit in a rail!

Good to know. I had the front splitter on mine crack the first day. I had to reinforce it.
there are 2 of us running them at our club and we haven't had any issues as of yet. I'll keep watch as I haven't taken in high speed hits with it on the front (yet !).
so far the body is handling great on my brushless car, and it just looks cool
I painted up another McLaren 12C GT3. I went with a non rc theme and put some decals from one of my favorite tv shows on the body. Its for racing so none of the cool little body bits are applied except the wiper.
