Stick radios - problem for the uncommon racer

Hello everyone.
What brings me to this section is a problem probably most of you don't deal with, I'm 26 but really old fashioned and into stick radios since I started rc racing as fas as I remember... probably because my father is also only into stick radios too.
I've been trying to solve a problem I'm facing since 2009, that is using my best radios with a 27mhz mr-02 board because I'm tired of using a simple Futaba Attack radio with no possibility of tuning.

My radios are a Futaba Field-Force 3 exactly like this one:

...and a less old Futaba 3VC 1st gen model:

Problem #1: Both of these can use 2.4ghz modules, but I don't have a mr-03 or a 2.4ghz board nor module yet.

Problem #2: I've learned that you can't use a normal 2.4ghz module because the 2.4ghz board is only compatible with Ko Propo and only uses specific Ko modules.
(Only way to use a Ko module on my radios is using a module converter to fit Futaba connection, I already have one of those I bought for cheap but can't use it yet.)

Problem #3: I haven't found any 27mhz AM module available for my radios, it seems there never was interest from Futaba to make these because most racers used FM sets before 2.4ghz... unfortunatly the Mini-Z only used AM frequency, so this became another stone in my shoe.

So I was wondering, if there is anyone out there that also uses stick radios... or even if you don't but know how to deal with this, could give me a little help setting up my radios for the Mini-Z... I really don't want to be stuck to a radio I can't tune because I'm just not even a little bit confortable with pistol radios.
I know I'm probably asking too much and will eventually end up having to retire something, but still would like to try if you could help me out.

PS: I looked for topics regarding this matter and the only post I found close to this was this one http://mini-zracer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15474 and it dates back from 2004, didn't even gave me any usable answer.

Futaba makes an AM module for the 3pk tx. That am module also works in a hitec tx. Have you tried this?

Hi bermbuster.

You mean a module like this but on a 27mhz range?

I actually have one of those but I've been told not to use it because it could damage my radio since it's made for a 3PK and not a 3VC.
Could it be I'm wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Hi unearthed name.
Even though that would be a great option, I'm trying to avoid to buy a whole new radio since I got those other two I'm used to and working great so far, not to mention buying a new 2.4ghz board too.
Been a lot into 1/10 nitro touring cars, but I want to fully dedicate myself into Mini-Z.

Thanks anyway.

Hi there, digger.
I think you just got me some hope.
From what I know, the synt. module I got is for the 3PK and that module you gave the ref. is also for the 3PK.
If I'm correct, you just gave me the answer I was looking for.

Thank you very much.

The best way to avoid mistakes is to get well informed before buying stuff.
I found out today I have a module for planes, it's 27mhz alright... but on FM frequency, not AM.
Next step, sell the module and get the JPK-AM one digger refered.
Hope didn't drop, just need to correct my flaw first.

are you talking about me cip?
hahaha.

@delorean
dude, you're not alone!
i'm using stick, and still stick, and I think I will always stick on stick!
hahaha.

I can't adapt using any gun type, so i "mutate" a gun tx, KT-5 if i'm not wrong.
not only because the adaptation issue but I also don't want people touch my Esprit III.
sometime I think how if someone broke something from it? the gimball with bearing on it? maybe the stick?
so I contact KO, ask about the stuff.
they say there's no spare available except from japan.
unlike gun type, you can get almost every part easily on LHS, they even sell 3rd party brand.
so...
this one is better than the esprit to ruined:

it has dual xtall, frequency switch for those xtall, I also add servo reverse and voltage indicator.

I also make KT-18 become stick tipe.
v.1 dun have the pics, working on progress on V. 2.
I post here when finish.

all are smaller and lighter than my esprit.
remind me to my old Futaba Attack II which is now retired sits on my display shelf.
