DC GTG 2007 Points Series Results (Season 1)
I am starting this thread to keep track of the results for our first season of 2007. We are running F1 and body spec class.
Track Layouts
Points system:
1st Place = 10 Points
2nd Place = 8 Points
3rd Place = 6 Points
4th Place = 5 Points
5th Place = 4 Points
6th Place = 3 Points
7th Place = 2 Points
8+ Places = 1 Point
Top Qualifier for each race gets an additional point for that race.

January 13, 2007 Results
We had a very exciting day with Arch2B walking away with some nice victories. Our spec races were very close with all drivers getting between 51 and 53 laps. In the end Arch egded out a victory for 10 points in the main. CCSON won the TQ point for the spec racing (although he wasn't racing a spec car).
Arch also had a great showing for the F1 races. We ran two qualify heats taking the best lap as the top qualifier. After heat 1 Arch was sitting pretty with the fastest lap time. I was able to pull a slightly faster lap in the second heat, stealing that TQ point. I also had a good run to take first but Arch was right behind in second place to take 8 points in the F1 race and put himslef in the lead for the series.
After one set of races the standings are as follows.
Arch2B (18)
Spoon (15)
CCSON (14)
SoyVerde (12)
TheRinger (9)
Race Results are attached

You just gotta feed those kids some sugar and let them into the basement. Arch's standings will drop a little then.

Then I'll bring some sugar sticks and mountain dew for the next gtg just for that reason.

Awww man, that sucks! I was actually winning when I got ejected from the track. I think I rear ended someone before the finish straight and flipped righ over the rail onto the tile. I think from there I had body issues and tire problems.
I thought I was in the middle of the pack somewhere. I didn't realize I was in the lead...if I am reading the chart correctly

I could have done better if I didn't lose a tire, intermittent motor failure, and having to unstick my f-1 from the walls. U still did well spoon. And I think I had something to do with running U off the track though.

Yeah I guess we all have our run with bad luck every once in a while. Just gotta be ready to perform next time I guess.

I think everyone was running really well. That was one of the tightest races we've ever run.
