Sneek Peek: Love Bug OL

Here is a 1/24 scale VW (love bug complete with decals) plastic snap together kit I picked up at hobby lobby. I thinking about mounting on my OL. It is a older body style and fits the OL chassie pretty good. Here are photos of it unmounted. I think DBR was looking for a body like this I cant remember.

Thanks, something to go by. That's been under my nose this whole time, that is a great find I may have to pick one up. For a snap kit it looks to have alot of details, the front lid opens up and all. Looks super for a $10.99 kit.

I linked this thread to the "Perfect Fits" thread in the custom bodies section. I assume that it's a 1/24 so it can fit down on the chassis better than a 1/25 scale like the revell/monogram version, that on an MR01 I had to shave down the battery holders for the body to go on. My guess is the OL is about the same in that area.

DBR...I was in Nashville TN (went to the Bush race) on saturday and had some time to kill....I ran across a hobby lobby and went in to have a look. Nothing much different than the one at home but I did run across this kit. I only bought 1 because I wasnt sure if it would fit or if you would still want one. I think this is a new product for hobby lobby. They are also closed on Sunday. I will go bye the one here in Chattanooga on my way home from work tommorrow and try to pick you one up( if they have it).

THanks HammerZ...the body will have to be mounted about mid way on the batt holder for the tires to clear...other than that if really is a good fit.

One final question, it slipped my mind earlyer. What wheelbase is that body, in millimeters if you know it?
