MR03 pro ve board vs MR03 ve pro with separate receiver
I have a question on the performance comparison between the chassis sold for all in brushless vs the one with selectable receivers, does the later one perform that much better if we have already invested in EX-6R radio, is it not better to buy all in one brushless chassis?
The EVO is intended for those that want select ability with regard to transmitter vs. performance. I don’t think i’ve Seen any description of what the EVO base board is compatible to, ie; is it an MHS board with variable RX or of some other baseline. given my experience with it, it feels most comparable to ASF/MHS. I imagine it would correlate to the Pro MHS board given the receivers compatibility with MHS. Does the receiver make the difference in making use of those benefits or is it inherent in the main board?
Steering and throttle response of the EVO have both been improved compared to the VE-PRO.
I only have experience with the ASF/MHS receiver version of the EVO which I am running in MHS mode with an EX-2. In comparison to the VE-PRO board which I ran before steering response is faster and throttle is smoother at low speed. I do think it depends on what you are used to/experience level as well as the environment you are running, the difference may or may not be as noticeable.
From what I've read the improvements of the EVO are from the EVO main base board servo and ESC processors, I would think it should translate into the other receivers as well (Futaba, KT-432 FHSS) but can't confirm as I have not tried them.
