Mini Z lite info wanted

Does anyone have a Mini Z lite? What I want to know is if the wheels and body interchange. Also, what is a good price to buy one at. Thanks.

yes, the bodies & wheels are interchangable, they are the exact same as those on the regular mini-z's.

Those look like the wheel nuts that hold the wheels onto the axles on the AutoScale bodies. I would imagine you could just give the wheels a tug and it'll just come off, they are a friction fit on the AS body. Don't loose the plastic hub because they aren't secured to the wheel.

I would imagine you could use the wheels on the Lite on a regular Mini Z if the hubs are the same.

Ghost, more questions

Can you post more pics of the chassis without the body? I kinda want to see how it looks.

Also, how do you like it?

Are the steering and forward/reverse just on and off or do you have control of the speed?

Do you also have a regular Mini-Z? Do you know if the parts interchange?

Can you add hop up parts such as the Ball Diff and motor mounts?

One last thing, how much did you pay for it and where did you get it?

There is someone here who sells the Lites but wants $50 for it. I thought in Asia it was about 30 bucks. Sorry for all of the questions. Thanks

are the mini-z lites digital proportional? or are they like "on-off" type steering and acceleration?

OK first I wanted to say Mini-z you are correct
after inspecting the box and talking to where I got it from they swaped the body out.Sorry about that...

MaukaRunner
I do like it, I was little disapoined in the performance. It barly beats my sons canned heat.

The steering and throttle is just the on off type, NOT proportional.

I think you could swap out the motor pod for a regular mini z unit, looks like the h bars are similar where they mount to the pod.
That would be the only way I can ss adding a ball diff.
I compared the h bar to my regular mini thats how I found they are similar.I dindt tear them apart but I am you I could get it to work if you realy wanted to.

IMHO I think hopping it up might be a waste of time. The esc,rx board is even smaller than the regular mini z, So I am not sure how sturdy it is.

I am giving this one to my youngest son to replace his canned heat this is definatley a step up.

I hope I dont sound like a downer on these cars they are nice, but being more race oriented myself
I just dont think they are right for me.

Here are the chassis pics you asked for.
And a comparison pic of the rear of my mini and the lite. Sorry I didnt have a stock pod for reference.

Sorry about being so long winded...
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ghost!!!!

I just wanted to see if the two were similar and if the steering and engine controls were similar to the regular Mini Z's. At least the bodies and wheels are interchangable. Now is it worth the price everyone is asking? Thanks again Ghost

Before it was to be released, it was supose to be about 30-35$... ive been seeng places (ebay) sell them for 50-60$ instead... wich to me just is NOT worth it.

The primary purpose for one is for a kid or someone not as into them who wants to play with some one who has a mini-z but dont realy care if they get lapped . These are not intended for racing...

If you got one and did not like it.. its value may or may not be worth it...

Assumming you were to pay the 35$... If if you were to assume the re-useable on a mini-z parts were about this much...

Rims: 7$
Tires: 7$
Screws: 4$
Motor: 7$
Body: 9$
Antenna: .50$
Servo Motor: 1$ (I think its the same motor in the servo!?)

in fact they likely sell for more... I dont remember if they have a display case or not though....

Then you basicly have purchased about 35$ in extra parts, Then just sell the rest on ebay, the electronics and chassis, motor pod, controller, for 5-10$... some one might use it for a double remote switch .

So when your, yer kid, nephew, niece, out grows it, you got spare parts for your Mini-Z, or theirs if they upgrade.

Drac, bodies for $9??????

Not to doubt you but, where can you get a "new" body for the Mini Z for $9? Most of the places on the net sell them for at least $19. I would gladly jump on a $9 price for a new body or three. Hey Mini-Z can you sell bodies for $9? If so then you will be getting a order from me soon. Thanks!

That was a conservative estimate... the what it might be worth to you after youve used it and bashed, same thing goes with the other prices... just trying to equate it closer to the orignal specified palm runner price... of 35$.
