Raceday for October...

I'm down to two possible days, the 20th or the 27th. Please post your preference! Last month was real close in times, I think we are finally starting to hit a rhythm with our setups... the magical 6 second lap looms large!

I say, the first legitimate back to back sub-seven second laps should get a reward!

(maybe a 32nd scale buggy?)

Just make sure it's not running your magical 50/70turn motor!

Also... Gordon text me and said our local HobbyTown is once again stocking Mini-Z parts? Interesting since I don't think they'll carry the actual cars as of yet.

20th it is!

Gordon won't be around though for this one but he'll be back for November. Don't know what Gasman is up to, I should prolly call him to yank him out of his virtual racing world.

Gasman is Dave...

Hey Ed, check out the new Turnigy Mini Q...the thread is in the new Turnigy subforum on here. 60 bucks and uses the FlySky radios according to the Hobby King preview vid I saw....
Might be a candidate for a box stock class.

Gasman is Dave... correct. Gasman won't be able to make it Sunday, maybe next month.

Already looking at the Mini-Qs. Only reason I'm interested in the Xmod is because of the astounding amount of availability it will have. If it takes quantity over quality to grow our ranks, I'll go the Xmod route. I really just want to know how they will perform this time around!

Did you sell your dirt gear yet?... gonna be a loooong winter!

Did I sell my dirt gear yet?
Haha....No.
I have a JRC Jet Late Model in the final stages of being ready to go for the winter season at Bumps and Jumps in Etters, Pa. Gonna try and race Sportsman 17.5. The US Open Wheel Championships are there in December. (Good chance that Tony Stewart will be racing that event since he owns Custom Works that sponsors it!)
I got that car right before I spun the rod bearings in my HHR.
Of course any racing anywhere is still contigent on getting that fixed first. Still trying to figure out how to replace the bearings without taking the motor out of the car. What a PITA...but I'm making progress...been geting rides to and from work from my son.

I don't hold out hope that the xmods will be worthwhile, just from what I've seen so far but...we may be surprised.
