I had to read that post twice--for a second, I thought you wrote that it was drag and Fraz was going to be the guide. If I was the guide, it would be critter country. That reminds me, I haven't seen my brick yet (it's between Disneyland and California Theme Parks)--please remind me to take a photo if I forget. Thanks in advance.

Ha, very funny I won't make it on Thursday because I have to drive 7 hours after work and then wake up really early for a 1+ hour commute to the track.

I would be up for Friday dinner though and I know of a great place nearby. My company held our annual conference there 2 years ago and there is a lot of good places close. For my group of online assistants I got us a semi-private dining room at the Rainforest Cafe and the food was rockin'. The Cesar salad alone was a full meal in itself and the biggest damn salad I ever saw. They have these huge saltwater aquariums inside in big plexiglass tubes and it was pretty neat.

I just may be able to do this as long as my flights make it in time. I am staying at the Days Inn at DL, but I could stop over for some food.

Thats true but if your going to Rainforest on Friday? You should call for reservation unless 1 hour wait is fine. Drive safe Mr. John!

It must be better than the one here or the management/cafe has improved. One person I know was mailed either a $50 or $75 comp after complaining about the cafe and refused to go back even to use it. I walked out once and have yet to return. Then again, I haven't been to the local Rainforest Cafe in years.

Days Inn at Disneyland? As I wrote before, I want to see my brick and take a photo of it--I'm going to send the photo to my mother since I took her there for 5 days after my father died. She had never been to DL before and told me she wanted to visit Disneyland before she died--for me, it was just another excuse to visit but she lives a lot farther away than I do. The "private" entrances are a nice touch now.

See the rest of you soon.

So if Darrell has a comp ticket... he's buying

I dunno, it's the only one I have ever seen and I thought it was pretty darn good.

I'd give the place a chance again simply because I liked the atmosphere theme, because it's been quite a while since I was at one, and because that Rainforest Cafe is in a different location. However, I'm sure he trashed the comp and/or it expired since it was issued long ago I'm also not buying.

I don't know how much you want to spend, but you could always get a Disneyland 2-Park Premium Annual Passport then use the dining discount on everyone's else's plate--mine expired in 2003. Then again, the purchase price of the annual passport has skyrocketed and wouldn't probably be worth what is now only a 10-15% dinning discount unless you actually stayed in a Disneyland/California Theme Park Hotel.

Below are also the California and Nevada Rainforest Cafe listings.

California
Fisherman's Wharf - San Francisco, CA
Ontario Mills - Ontario Mills, CA
South Coast Plaza - Costa Mesa, CA
Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort - Anaheim, CA

Nevada
MGM Grand Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas, NV

got to meet with some of the forum members today (saturday). You guys are awesome!! Way cool people. I wish you all lived nearby. Our Mini Z people is getting bigger. So far, SoCal has a total of at least 15 people who will be getting together for a Mini Z G2G (with 3 RCP tracks combined, along with a hobby store which will have the very Mini-Z cup track!! Finally, Mini Z is starting to get some recognition.

To those who saw my special Pro-Z project, I hope you guys enjoyed the show. I will be putting 8 cells (from 6) hopefully, tomorrow. I hope I make it on time so you guys can see the even faster set-up. I may have to make a correction. It may be doing 39 - 40. I guess I got a little carried away with the Mini 4WD speed checker which registered it a 82 kmh. For sure, it will be 40+ with the 8 or 9 cell set up I will have pretty soon.

Look forward to seeing you guys again tomorrow.
