Feh...a little problem...

WEll, i just got my mini-z like 2 or 3 weeks ago and its already giving me a little problem. Sometimes it wont move unless I push it and turn the wheels but then it stops. The steering still works and I don't think that there is a horrid FET buring smell. I started happening to me like a few days ago but when i turned off and back on the mini-z, it would be fixed. It won't do that anymore. Do you think it could be the motor or FET?

sounds like the motor is not producing enough power to move. i would swap out the motor first since it would be easier than replacing the fet... well i take that back unless your board has a socket added in to change out fet setup quickly.

I’d suggest making sure the screws connecting the motor wires to the PCB are tight. I don’t mean crank them down and strip the threads, just make sure they are snug.
I’ve experienced the same type of problem with a loose motor connection.

Well, i found the problem after opening ithe motor up. Somehow, one of the brushes were not properly seated on the comm.. I placed it back on the com, water dipped the motor for a little while to get it working again and it worked perfectly after that. No more problems. Thanks for the help anyways.

I noticed something like this with my NML motor. It seems every so often the motor stops turning at a'dead' spot where no electricity can flow through the com...A slight push gets it going again...
