Atomic 94 MM MM MM & Damper plate?
I just received my Atomic 94mm Mid-mount Motor mount and accompanying damper plate... has anyone else had problems with the motor mount butting up against the damper plate? Right now I have mine set up, and the only motion allowed is foward/back and motion to the right, but not the left.

Did you had your damper height adjustable post too high causing it to hit the damper plate to the left? Just adjust that and it will work perfectly...

For me to get enough clearance, the ride height was looking rediculously high... I even have Tagu 21mm inch-up wheels mounted to try and reduce the gap.
I've been considering dremmeling the damper plate on one side, but wasn't sure if I'd get uneven friction support. Do you think that'd be the case, or do you think it would be alright? I'd hate to grind down the plate only to ruin it.

Maybe it's worth mentioning, you have almost the same motor mount for MM98 setup, but it's different:
- #AR60 The MM94 motor mount (To convert RM94 to MM94)
http://www.technicalrp.com/catalog/p...ge.php?pID=137
- #AR53 The MM98 motor mount
http://www.******.com/catalog/popup_...=12391&picID=1
The only difference (that I think) is the extra piece that is with it, where the damper comes on the motor mount. But somehow it isn't logic. The MM98 is mounted further away from the chassis, so there the extra piece should be straight I think. Or, I am not thinking logic, Or, those websites mixed up their images. Anyway, ****** shows the same images for the MM98 as for the MM94.
Logicly this should be an MM94 setup, but then the upper plate isn't right:

Does Atomic has a site?
Greetz,
HaCo
PS.: why is R_C_M_A_R_T cleaned with ****** ??

This is incorrect. The 94mm MM motor mount is completely different and the h-plate to axle spacing is 4mm shorter. Dinyourmommaball is wrong if they have the same images for both mounts. Then again, they're not known to care about being all that accurate. Atomic's website is www.rcatomic.com

I'll get a picture of my car tonight for you, the mount actually moves the axle 4mm forward along with the motor. The h-plate stays the same, this 94mm mount compares to 98mm mount is that the 94mm mount's motor is raised causing a higher CG because of tight spaces...

another very interesting product is this
http://www.rcatomic.com/main/modules...php?storyid=24
it's for runing the mr-01 bodies on the mr-02 chassis using a special rm motor pod.

Isn't it to be able to install the damper system on a 90mm WB car (which isn't possible with normal motor mount)?
When you install an MR-01 on an MR-02, the MR-02 will be to width in front...

Yes,
I have the same problem, but you can solve it by adding some washers under the plate where it is fixed to the chassis.
With this damper mount it is solved too. Maybe I will add the damper too, don't know yet...

ressurecting an old thread.. but i got the 94mm midmount for the iw02.. now tho, im having this really weird issue with the rear end hopping and thus snapping on exiting a corner. the car will just whip around when im on the throttle with pretty sharp turn in.
im running a z2 with 8T pinion and 20 degree tires all around. I tried this with 0degree camber and 2degree camber knuckes and -2 and +4 tie rods and it still doesnt' help the problem at all... also tried the diff at all kinds of settings and still no avail from tight to loose.
anyone else having this problem? With the Rearmount, it would just hang in there thru the corner with pretty good weight distrobution OVER the rear axle.. now that its inbetween both axles, its handling just won't stick thru any corner as predictably as i expected............................

I've been having the same problem. Though I think that it's because I'm not running any damper system on it at the moment. (waiting for the parts to arrive) In the mean time, I've switched back to the old RM setup. The car tracks very stable through the corners, but understeers more on corner exit. Compared to the MM setup, the car is sluggish and is relectant to change directions in the S-Curves.. However, I've tried all hardness of T-plates with the MM setup.. and without a damper on top, the car just won't behave and the whole axle bounces up and down.. and chatters a lot through the corners, sometimes losing it's traction on the bounces and spins out.
