Mini-ZRacer.com Event: Saturday 1/9/2010, Ann Arbor, MI
Join us for another Ann Arbor Mini-Z GTG on Saturday January 9th, 2010. Bring your Mini-Zs, Iwavers, XMods, Micro-Ts, and Epochs, etc.
New people are welcome as always! Everyone is friendly and helpful and we have lots of fun!
NOTE: here's the easy to remember URL to keep up to date with our events: http://www.mini-zracer.com/annarbor
Please bring $10 to cover the cost of the race night (one fee for the whole night of practice and racing - a great value!).
Reminder: You can now pay your entry fees online.
The event starts at 7pm and is in Ypsilanti, MI (just southeast of Ann Arbor). The address is:
3140 Carpenter, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
Reminder that Dojo 4 is now 3140 Carpenter - park around the back of the building and use the back door.
------------------------------------------
Get your orders into http://Shop.TinyRC.com early and you can choose to pick it up at the GTG this Friday to save on shipping costs.
Post here to let us know what time you plan to come and what time you need to leave.
------------------------------------------
We're going to try something different this season. As discussed after last month's event, and due to how much fun we all had, we're going to swap to running larger layouts, more classes, and our own local points series. The January events will be non-points and will be more about figuring out how we want it to work etc. I've talked to a lot of people about their ideas, but be sure that you attend these first two events, as that's where the parameters for the series will be set, based on everyone's input. See you all Saturday, this should be a blast! Bring a friend, and expect to see some old faces too!

I was just about to ask what the plan was for January AA GTGs
I got my hands on a Mini-Z F1 and am getting it prepped for RCP racing (e.g. raising the front wing and bumper) so I sure hope F1s are one of the new classes we run
Also check out my new 96mm AWD setup post. I'm not sure if I like the Atomic VDS 2.5 body yet but I'm going to give it a try.
Big tracks, here we come!

Wow, nice one D, I will remember it this time! (assuming I can find it )
If everyone can make an effort to get there sooner than later, that would be good, since the track is going to take a little longer to lay out vs. last season!

I'll be there early (between 7 an 7:30). And per usual I do have to shoot to leave by midnight(-ish).
So what rules are we running. Typical HFAY rules would be the simplest since that's what most of us have our cars prepped for anyways. Any thoughts before I prep and pack up my cars for tonight. I only have 1 HFAY motor. Will any 70t motor be okay? What about the X-Speed in the F1?

Wow N, I'm very jealous of you having time to prep your cars before the race! I'd just bring everything you can - I'm thinking we'll likely borrow heavily from an established spec e.g. PN (hey, if you've got a moment, if you want to check out the latest PN rules and evaluate as a basis, that would be awesome); part of the idea behind the new format is training for participating in and hosting large events etc., so, getting experience w/ PNWC specs for example would be logical (while still remaining flexible so we could tweak things that don't make sense for our series). Btw did you get my email?

Lawrence, thanks for coming last time. We hope you can come back and join us again.
Note that if you need a "loaner" for one or two times let me know as I have a couple cars that I'd be able to let you use. Just let me know in advance so I will remember to bring it.
