Totally agree. Went well. It's just a shame there was no Z stuff in stock to sell. I think he could have sold ready sets etc.....

sounds like a good opportunity for regional stock class events the remnant guys have a good stock class going as does Hobby Works. we don't all have the same rules obviously but that can be worked out easily if we do some regional stock class events.

I know I could have sold two without even trying. Nothing says commitment like cash and I'm hoping many buy so many will race.

Regional Stock class would be an excellent gateway to the scale, would be real nice to have a starters package for newbies.

At hobby works I've modified our program to utilize a stock class to build entry and membership that can transition to more expensive HFAY. We just wrapped up our 1st 5 month season and starting our 2nd so it's going to take some time. Right now it's parents in HFAY bringing their kids and some using stock as practice time for HFAY since we essentially use next months HFAY track layout. I'm hoping to see incremental growth each season but it took years to get our club solid, an experience your very familiar with.

What size tracks are you running?

no Ed, You deserve the thanks for arranging everything and bringing your equipment to the store to use. I sure wished he had Mini-z ready sets to sell, a few of the people looked like they wee ready to buy.

Arch, right now the big track HFAY was set up. We can go larger. Would like to see a PN sized regional track if possible.

The place is huge, monstrous, ginormous! We could've fit two of the BTE tracks end to end and still had room for more pit space. And it's all in it's own stand-alone building. The owner not only threw his hat into the ring, I'm sure his a$$ went in there with it too.
