Each track/car/person is different in terms of front tire use. I was using K30-R cut to 21.8.

+1. I ran PN X15's cut to 22.5. I think EMU played with running the Atomic 8 on the front (cut down to 8.5 width) as well, not sure if he stuck with it

I switched back the the x15. The 8d worked well in the front, but grained a little too much and grip was a little lower with similar traction rolling effect at MHS. I will state that the tire was a used rear tire, not a new one which would have had much more grip...

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but is anyone finding the AR-244-W08 to be inconsistent from batch to batch, or that they have a poor shelf life or something?

I had tried them before, and so I ordered 10 pairs with confidence, just to find out that this last batch just doesn't work. Rubber is harder then the previous AR-244-W08 I had bought, and the tires just don't grip! Anyone having problems like this? I still have one decent pair of 8's from my last order, and they can't compare to the new ones...

Is atomic aware that this is happening, or am I the only one having issues with this tires?

I have tried atomic, PN, 3racing and kyosho tires and out of all of them I perfer kyosho 30 slick fronts and 20 slick rear. Trued, taped and glued. GPM were the bomb back in the day but before they disappeared their tire quality went down hill. And the atomic tires you speak of look and feel just like the PN 8 rear tires which look like the GPM tires of old. Different from pack to pack. Now I used to use the PN 15 front and 6 rear slicks and they work good. But I perfer to stick with kyosho.
