i used to be a collector with a collection of nearly 50 or more. over the years i've thinned down to maybe a dozen. i need the space for my 80's toy collections
idiot 1: Wow, that MB Original Teile is beautiful! Almost too pretty to race.
idiot 2: Yeah, but I only bought the F40 with tonight and I think I wanna run the longer wheelbase. It's not like they're gonna stop making these anytime soon and besides they are only like $20 from *******.com right now... they probably have a ton in stock too.
idiot 1: Yeah, they're just plastic bodies anyways... I doubt they'll be very collectible.
kinda explains my avatar too...

Ditto on a loctite NSX for me but the upside is you get to race a kick ass unique looking body.
LOL. I guess you never know. I wonder if any of the bodies that are being released now will ever be as collectable as the teile? couldnt kyosho re-release the teile? then i'd feel pretty silly for what i paid for mine.
I just wish i had started this hobby when it first came out, then i wouldnt have to play catch up.
even if they re release a body the original is still going to valuable. case in point the lambo was re released but the originals are stll going for a pretty penny. the only thing that will effect price will be wants and availability.

but my teile came from a readyset, so it has no papers or insert identifying the model number to prove that it was an original. if the re-release is exactly the same, whos going to trust me? lets just hope they've thrown the mould out. haha

I wouldn't want any current owners of that body feeling like some of the Lambo Murch hi-payers did a little while back when they re-released that one!
I do still have a raced Loctite NSX... Still in good shape but the grille pops out on those because the front clip is right behind it. Just waiting for someone to have a spec NSX race for an excuse to bring it out again!

There is one up for auction right now on the bay. item #200579290223. mint condition. the bids only at $15 right now, with 4 days to go. you can pick it up, and race the one you currently have.
Appreciate the info. but the need for racing gear killed off my collection a long time ago. I have one shelf queen and it's the Mad Max... loved that Australian muscle car for some strange reason (based on the Falcon I think).
I will trade it for some PN tires though!
