I have the MR03VE with the new MHS board. I needed a transmitter for MHS and to use for VRC (Virtual RC Sim) which needs a standard car type receiver. Seemed the ex-2, ex-6 and ex-6r do not have capability to use a receiver so went ahead and ordered this.
hmm... interesting... would like to know the compatibility with the mr03ve pro (mhs), wondering if it would work with non mhs mr03's...? Or is this just for the mr03 ve pro version only?

EXRR only works with MHS, or a standard receiver which is included. EXRR does not work with regular ASF so you need the new VE Pro board. (Mini-z must have a RED antennae to indicate MHS). The VE board can be controlled by either AHS or MHS.
Received the EXRR yesterday, amazing quality. Bound it to it's included FHSS receiver and my Mini-Z. Make sure you are not right next to your wifi router while trying to bind the mini-z, took me 5 failed tries before I realized I should move to the other side of the room and then it bound on the first try.
I use the KoPropo receiver included with the EXRR for my USB interface to play VRC Simulalor. I was over 2 laps faster on my first race compared to the RTR style radio I was previously using.
The quality of the controller is amazing and the adjusment interface is really nice.
One odd thing is that I cannot simply switch models to switch from the receiver to theMini-z. Since they are different protocols you have to do a MODE CHANGE proccess of holding the steering trim LEFT while powering on. Only takes a second.
