Yes in our case I was thinking of keeping the disk choices to kyosho only to a) keep close to as box stock nature of the class & b) limit the choices as much as possible again staying as close as possible to the box stock theme. (spec by default kinda thing)
Tires, t-plate, bearing, springs, lubes & fluids are open to any brand though. Speaking of lube some 300to500-ish CST lube under the MM2 damper disk (94mm) made my car handle noticeably better.
Also i have feeling FWD in box stock format with only tires and right gearing can keep up with RWDs and they all should be run together...I'll be testing that idea in upcoming months.
I think layout design will have a lot to play in fwd performance relative to rwd. Gearing will play a major role as well. I think fwd could work better for those 90mm bodies that rwd needs to use an rm config

This may have been addressed before but do the FHSS boards have power to the ICS port for transponders/lights and such? I know the FHS do not. I’m rebuilding the club loaner fleet and will need to get transponders wired up for FHSS RWD RTR’s and want to know if I need to order more ring terminals or ICS cables?
That would make sense, just need to find the pin out. Pre-wired terminals are dirt cheap and easy enough to re-pin. It’s much easier to re-pin a terminal than carry a bunch of ICS terminals and ring terminals to keep the club stocked if possible. I’ve not found a similarly cheap source for ring terminal leads.
Did some digging on rctech, looks like the voltage on the fuss port delivers 4.75v vs the evo and asf at 5.75v.... which means that there must be a voltage booster in the ICS electronics of some sort (don't think the user was using lipo). It was stated that ilap transponders did not work on the fhss port, light flashed intermittently.
Has anyone deciphered the power pin out for FHSS ICS port? I need to figure out how to do this as there is no readily available power taps on the FWD in particular.
