I'm in tight with some of the guys at my LHS, and they have a shrink wrapper, so they'll open kits for me to see how it'll fit.
Try it, 'never hurts to ask. It's very convenient.

AMT ERTL 1:25 Opel GT

Almost perfect fit. Long setting narrow track, the wheelbase is exactly the same but you will need to enlarge the wheelwells pretty much especially front because the wheels are slightly arising from the body and also because the mini-z wheels are bigger than these from the kit. The front mounting plate goes in a slit under the front grill and I've managed to build side mountings with cutouts of a round plastic box and screws. You will need to dremel out everything inside the rear panel (bumper mountings, etc) so the motor pod can move freely. Overall the car looks very compact and body is lighter than the stock one (Porsche GT3).

911 slantnose perfect

havent painted or made mounts yet but you can see that this is prolly the best fit yet, protects the wheels, front it toyota altezza rim clk rears. I have a soft top I am going to put on it. Iam thinking green flake paint with gold bbs rims. a kinda Pimp's Porshe. the kit is Revell 1/25, one of my old models from about 10 years ago. I smoothed the bumpers some, shaved door handles, and vents above the front wheels. I may race this body, maybee depends on how nice it paints up.

My Custom Sideswipe Z FASTEST Z EVER!

Hi All, I've just finished my Transformer Sideswipe body..the body is a 1/24 DIECAST Lamborghini, Yes it is Fully Diecast, made by Burago. You're probably thinking it's slow as hell, but it's actually too fast! Check out the motor I modified to fit in the mount! It's a HPI Micro Elite Coreless Motor! The motor mount is from Megatech, but you won't be able to recognize it, cause I dremeled the crap out of it..I used a regular miniz front body mount(cut it off any body you don't need) or you can make one from scratch, the side mounts are made from rubber tires out of a Tamiya model kit, I cut a slot in the center so the ball joint mounted on my Z would slide in with a snug fitting, fits perfectly, will not come off...I would've used a plastic body but the motor is just way too powerful, you will spin out on foams just by lightly touching the throttle! Using the diecast body distributed the weight balance, now it handles realy smoothly...I would like to get feedback from you guys..thanks for reading!

HOW?

How do you people find ways to fit these bodys on the chasis???
I know they are the same scale and stuff but how, cause there not actual Mini-z bodys.... Cause if the CRX was I'd have one on mine right now.
